Which is futile, considering the USA shits on everyone to get what they want. They have no respect for democracy or sovereignty abroad, or anything else that doesn't directly benefit them. Well if the Brics are seriously threatening that may open up more elbow room further down the line yet you need to consider the EU wants to see us fail and so if we were too independent the US and EU banks could sell Sterling short. We would be in trouble in that scenario. Of course if other countries break from the EU or the US breaks because of political polarisation this may become less of an risk. i think as a non betting man , the uk is looking far more likely to continue to split apart than either the USA or EU dont you bancroft?
What you mention about the BRICS countries is interesting , and their determination to challenge the USAs world hegemony .

Suprised it has not happened already. same here. Managed decline and never ending amounts of duck tape holding it together for the minute . Northern ireland has one foot out the door. So they might go afore us.
