Yes. You believe your political opposition are dangerous extremists who shouldn't be allowed to express themselves. I think we are agreeing here. You share these beliefs with much of the left
Yes. See2 would appear to have fascistic tendencies.
He shares those beliefs with much of the left too.
What a silly immature post, proving my insinuation about your limited thinking. Mags opinion on this is at about the same level as your stunted thinking.

They did decide. I do not believe they should have. So if not the Government - who should decide whether you have a right to protest? I am afraid your questions are now becoming surreal. I notice you keep asking but never answering, is that from the Tory playbook?

'Twas ever thus. "No platforming" anybody? I must admit to some difficulty dealing with such people. I can usually somewhat place myself in the shoes of someone who disagrees with me, but I find it difficult to imagine really believing that preventing people disagreeing with you is somehow helpful, or that using the language of 'safety' effectively masks such an intent. I agree people should not be prevented from disagreement, and I have NEVER claimed they should. Safety is safety, it is not a mask for anything. I find it actually disgusting that you would so dishonestly deal with the word in the context in which I used it.

You must think the rest of us came down in the last shower

Care to answer who should decide whether you have a right to protest if not the Government?

Well in the past rights have been taken by action,in those cases the people or more correctly a section decided to do so and often paid a price but won in the end. The suffragettes for one. The right to protest peacefully and within recognised laws should be enshrined in law,why anyone thinks it ok to arrest someone for things you think they might do is beyond me. It could mean any of us being detained should an administration deciding to do so,it all reminds me of an argument I had with a militant feminist years ago who insisted all men were potential rapists due to their appendage, she refused to accept that she was a potential murderer and went ballistic when I mentioned access to knives whilst she was in the kitchen she didn’t believe cooking a woman’s role bit mean but I pushed her buttons.

If you are simply following the Law you do not have any particular 'Rights' - as the Law can, and is, changed at the whim of politicians on the day. If the Law says that the Police can stop your protest on the suspicion that you might cause disruption then that is all you are entitled to do by 'right'.

If people have the right to protest, you could argue that by implication they also have freedom of speech.
No government wants to open that can of worms.

We are only ever as free as the lead they've got us on lets us be. As long as we of our own free will remain generally where they want us to be, we experience the illusion of freedom. But try and step beyond those limits and we soon realise that we are not free at all.

Investigate further, which would involve arresting them if necessary. Are you suggesting that the police in London should simply ignore people walking around the streets with knives in their bags?

No that’s normal, however many years ago and as I’m an old duffer it really was,met a mate who was a chef went for more than a few drinks, got stopped by the police and let’s look in your bag. Full set of chefs knives and his apparel. Cops were fine it’s your work stuff on your way. My point? and yes I’m harping on about it again but those three volunteers giving out rape alarms as they do all the time and work with the cops and get arrested it’s mad.

Do they do it mid morning at a Constitutional procession? - strikes me as a very odd time and place to do that. Do we have a problem with women getting raped during parades down Whitehall in the middle of the day?
