Seriously cannot see what the issue is
Will the Tory manifesto for next years general election be different from the last one ?
Will some previous commitments be not included, will there be new commitments ?
What was it exactly that the opposition leader actually said ?
THE INTERVIEW WENT LIKE THIS
(Question) Was this yet another promise that had bitten the dust?
(Keir Starmer) tuition fees were obviously unfair, but we would now be looking for a way of funding students that was more fair but which didn’t involve abolishing tuition fees.
The point is that the General Election Manifesto of both major parties are not known, and they will not be published until next year.

I think most people have realised that Beer Korma is a liar, his bigger problem is that he now looks like a corrupt liar.
The whole Gray-Gate thing will always appear highly suspect and even if Sir Beer did no wrong it still casts massive doubt on his professional judgement.

Do as someone suggested and I have been suggesting for years. Improve education standards and raise the bar for uni entry. That would have the effect of substantially increasing the labour force and allow increasing apprenticeships and other in-work training opportunities and thereby reduce immigrant labour requirements. this country has had years of opportunity to introduce such measures and have failed because we haven't the politicians capable of seeing a single minute into the future, let alone years.

He could have said it might be in our manifesto - instead he pledged unequivocally to remove them. Are you another of Owen Jones's Comical Ali's?

My take is that he believes he'll be the next PM, so has retracted now rather than later. If he maintained his bullshit he would be challenged about during the campaign where he'd end up totally slated. Free tuition would cost an absolute forture under the current university business model. They have free tuition in Scotland, at everyone else's expense, because they only make up a fraction of the British population, but to apply it UK wide just wouldn't work unless the number of people going into higher education was drastically reduced. University in England is basically a service and source of income now, and even if he only made it free for British people he'd be called racist. Obviously, it's OK for Scotland to deny the people in England, because of double standards.
Yes they have free tuition in Scotland which meant that while we were in the EU, EVERY bloody foreigner rocking up to Scitland from the EU27 was entitled to free tuition in Scotland, UNLESS you rocked up there from England, in which case a law passed specially for the purpose meant that this did not apply. THATS how much the bitch hated the english and i understand that the police ate looking into not only hie she ‘lost’ £600k of referendum crowdfunding but she also ‘lost’ £400k of bequests from wills. And now they’re pretending they will come to ‘some arrangement’ to not forfeit 1.2 MILLION of public money by reason of having no accounts. If it were any other organisation the Money Laundering Regulatory Office would freeze their bloody accounts and leave then to starve until they satisfied the vourt they weren’t a bunch of crooks

I guess Sidney, the Westminster party have been telling lies for votes again, now you have to cover for them, its OK the public are as dim as they come, they won't notice.

see this is what i get on the scottish threads all the time with your fellow brit nat happy. Empty throw away commments passed off as a statement of fact.
Tuition fees were brought in by your british parties like labour......not the snp , scotland or the scottish people. The snp got rid of them in scotland , while both labour and tory continued them in england.
If you dont want tuition fees round your kids and grandkids necks b4 , then dont vote parties that support them. Dont also blame others for your own political parites failings that you vote for in your own country.
Tuition fees arent the fault of scotland , wales ireland or the european union. They are the fault of your own parties , so own them.
prove it.
part of the reason they dont apply uk wide is because in 300 years of this disgusting union , there has never been a uk wide education system. Scots education was to stay seperate from englands as per the acts of union forevermore.
Do keep up b4.
I know you arent the fizziest ginger bottle in the fridge , but you dont have to continually highlight that fact repeatedly.

The point here sid is if we cant trust starmer to honour his labour party leadership election pledges , why should joe public trust him on anything else like an election manifesto?
I think pacifico is correct above with his own jones quote. We should start calling you and your mate significant see2 and comical sid.
Ive never heard such puerile bullshit in defending such an incompetent and dishonest politician like starmer. The bar is low of course, but starmer takes dishonesty to new levels.

It looks like the ScotNat is hurling abuse because he has no argument, but I guess this is to be expected from somebody whose entire campaign is a load of bollocks.
