So you ask an inane question then give an unclear answer . What is the minimum rate for NHS workers to be able to be competent ? You are the one asking where the money is. Because its so much more complex than just the hourly rate. Its working conditions, number of staff, stress levels, job satisfaction. All of these are affected by budget cuts year on year. But its pretty easy to see that if you pay more (BUPA) you get better service. You are the one initially mentioning money . Now you are backpedaling . You..”Guess where the money is.” 😆

I must be honest and say that the attitude now is similar to the attitude around the end of the nineties .” You should be thankful that you are seen at all “ kind of atmosphere but I dispute that it’s all about money. The NHS staff have has smoke blown up their collective arses during the COVID years and called heroes when they didn’t deserve it . The only heroes were the ones entering the COVID hot wards during the worst of the epidemic .Watching people die in front of them ( sometimes because they were incorrect put on ventilators). The rest of the staff were not put in much more danger than supermarket workers . These heroes are quite content to be the cause of much pain and death caused by industrial action now. How times change .

I explained money means more than wage. You mistakenly asked a stupid question without qualifying it firsthand. The inference would naturally be towards wages and I suspect that is what you were referring to. Maybe you just posted “ Guess where the money is “ without actually thinking too much .

You on the other hand are just rude and boring again.

You did mean wages . ”Guess where the moneys is” well the money is in the £150 billion per year NHS obviously . The NHS is far larger than BUPA. Of course when you asked “ Guess where the money is “ you were referring to “ working conditions, number of staff, stress levels, job satisfaction.“ That’s why you didn’t initially refer to them .🙄 Lets move on.

The NHS doesn't need more money, it needs to be run properly. Christ health spending in 2020/21 was £220 billion. It doesn't matter how much money the government throw at the NHS, it will not improve. What the NHS needs is massive reform, the entire health system in this country needs more than reform, it needs redesigning. The reason it's a money pit is because politically it's a vote loser to mention NHS reform. If the Tories even hint at reform Labour are instantly telling the country that the Tories plan to flog it off to the yanks.
The NHS is on it's knees because politicians are frightened to change it, because it's seen as a vote loser. And that mindset will ensure our health system gets ever worse.

I don’t believe that the core reason that you can’t get a doctors appointment or that NHS dentists are as rare as rocking horse shit is because the NHS isn’t getting enough billions of pounds . I think the whole thing is run and staffed by people who are essentially imcompetent. The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust consists mainly of three hospital . In the case of vascular surgery clinics none of the three can share data directly with the other one. Also I have been informed that Southend hospital would not have records about an operation done in broomfield. So Southend would not know about a negative reaction to morphine during an operation in Broomfield. In my case the vascular clinics failed to communicate between Basildon and Southend for two years ,even when continuously prompted. This isn’t about money , it’s about people unable to do their jobs . .

One massive area of concern is the fact that nearly half the NHS's 1.3 million staff are none clinical. That's mad. For instance the NHS employ 800 diversity officers, this is just one of many examples of why the NHS in it's current form needs more and more and more money.

I would agree that there’s too much bureaucracy, where I differ is that far from frightened to make reforms they have over decades between the two parties buggered the whole thing up with their meddling from PFI’s to trusts who I wouldn’t trust to run anything other than in to the ground.
I have a few friends/acquaintances who work in the nhs from midwives thrown to the wolves and now lost to the nhs and the madness of paper shufflers.
It’s not just the nhs there’s an industry of regulation in this country so great in some cases that the sheer weight of it diverts people from the job they are employed to do meaning the core reason for their work is lost to things that change on so regular a basis contradicting that which was previously held as tablets of stone.
The tragedy of of it is that when it all goes wrong as it often does some overpaid **** stands in front of the assembled press talking crap and finishes with the usual “lessons have been learnt” when clearly they never are..

Not this again, it is absolute bollocks. The Kingsfund has looked into this time and time again and the facts do not back up what you are saying: "Verdict There is no evidence of widespread privatisation of NHS services. The proportion of the NHS budget spent on services delivered by the private sector has remained broadly stable over the past decade. However, there has been a recent rise in the number of people choosing to use the private sector, paying for their treatment, in the context of long NHS waiting lists and times." www.kingsfund.org.uk/publications/health-and-social-care-england-myths

No I didn't mean wages. I meant the private sector. And you need to calculate the money per patient, not globally.

The NHs does need more money, it treats more people every year with more long term ailments. It receives less money per patient than most of its contemporaries across the Western world. A a question for you. If the NHS doesn't need more money, how come the private systems charge so much more for the same treatments?
