So you think Moslems will integrate, by and large they haven't done so far. How about they shelved their mosque building programme and used the money to build houses? We have a very large Sikh community, and a smaller Muslim Community. We tend to not have too many issues here. There have been issues earlier this year up in Leicester, and the communities worked hard to stop them from spreading. To say that Muslims don't integrate is at the very least disingenuous. They have their own guide for Islamic visitors among other things and Coventry is well known as having racial t6ension. I know Leicester reasonably well, as I do Luton, both have integration problems. I also know Southall and other London area ghettoes. |

It has 4 Sikh Temples, 1 Hindu Temple, 2 Muslim Mosques, 1 Ukrainian Church, alongside a CoE and a Catholic church. It's a very mixed area and certainly has some poverty and a lot of health issues, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as a ghetto. In fact I would say there are 2 or 3 areas that are far more scary, and those are majority white. |
