If you are going to refer to me, stop your personal translation. I never said that. The closest thing I said was that this kind of public opinion in France is not unusual. I might also add that the UK could do with a bit more public democracy.

The King's State visit to France next week now called off - apparently the French are having some security issues.. Charles is 74 and still doing his duties. Macron didn't want to enrage the French anymore than he already has.

I blame Brexit for the rubbish on the streets of Paris. In saying that, we do seem more civilised this side of the water.

France has never been an easy country to govern, but it must be made harder by stealing people's pensions without due process in the parliament. Macron may have to back down. Remember how long the "gilet jaune" protests went on? The people have a lot of stamina for protest and they will probably win.

Well you can see why people would jump in a rubber boat to escape France.. that is absolutely disgusting. Similar scenes in 1978 are what brought down Sunny Jim and allowed Mrs T to reform the country. Perhaps France needs their own Thatcher?

Tell you what, if the UK was on fire with millions rioting in the streets, remainiacs and lefties would be saying it was all because of Brexit.

In the UK we get the full pension if we've got 35 years of contributions ... in France workers now need 43 years of contributions. It may be the case that many workers who have retired early will not only have to wait for their pension but will have to pay contributions for the extra two years in order to get their full State pension. This may have a greater effect on the finances of immigrant people than it does on "French" people.

Only a fool wears an €80k watch. I didn't understand that, but as luck would have it, Headliners on GB News (Which I'm watching) just mentioned it. Sneaky French git.
