Sunak is part of the problem that runs through the conservative party these days, he's not very conservative. Like many in the cabinet these days he is a left-wing globalist, just like Hunt. The alternative, if we're not careful, is Starmer - a left wing lawyer. And, if we had to lay blame for society's current parlous state at any one group, it would be left wing lawyers. Starmer is far more than the opposition. He's an ideological nuclear catastrophe. Left wing Lol!

I'm confused (not difficult). So are they saying there is no need to put a new selection to the vote of Tory Party Members and that selection will be by MP's vote only? If so, why the bloody hell were they not able to do that last time around? They are putting the final two to the Tory Members, who will vote online, with the result by next Friday. Unless they are idiots, the MPs will privately agree that Sunak gets the job, and whoever is second will stand down before the membership vote, thus crowning him PM on Monday / Tuesday. Do you call that democracy?

OK, so he's not Nazi left-wing like you, but by most standards he's more than left-wing enough.

OK, so he's not Nazi left-wing like you, but by most standards he's more than left-wing enough. Starmer is another world king wannabe like Boris. His ideology changes to whatever is political expedient for him. Look at him with the Unions. He wouldn't give them the time of day until the Tory implosion started. Now he is their best friend. Piggy-backed Corbyn then did a 180 and became all Social Democrat lol. Then lied to the membership to get the leadership. He is just Boris with combed hair.

Aren't they all? But Starmer's a lefty lawyer on top.
So that's a double layer of "No" from me.

Just heard that Boris is in the Caribbean, but when he heard Truss had resigned, he was on the first plane back to London. Hopefully a private jet, just to piss the green lobby of a bit more. I hope the aircraft uses wood and old tyres for fuel.

Quote of the day. Ken Livingstone (On GB News) has just said:
When Max Hastings was editor of the Telegraph he once said to me, never leave your wife or your wallet alone with Boris!
(Boris used to work for Max Hastings on the Telegraph)

I wouldn't put it past BJ and his backers to have orchestrated this whole affair. Resign for your sins, then come back with slate clean type thing.
The only variable they couldn't have factored in was the Queen's death during his sabbatical.
I bet he was absolutely devastated that he wasn't at the helm for that. He had his speech prepared ready to go, and had to release it as a letter/ statement instead.
