As expected, Johnson lies again. Technically it was Mogg who lied. Although did anyone believe BoJo had a hundred backers but the most ardent of Johnsonites? I was reading that he went and asked Suank to give up his bid when he had over a hundred backers. Like WTF? The deal should have been for Johnson to drop out and be part of Sunaks cabinet, preferably Home Secretary, so he can work on his Levelling up agenda. When Sunak told him to fuck off, he then went to Mordaunt to drop out. Hardly actions of a man with a hundred backers. I think it's worse than that and as crooked as it comes. Only yesterday I read of some Tory MPs who preferred Mordaunt but still signed on Sunak's list to make it a walk over and I think it may have been more widespread insofar that many MPs just refrained from voting in a way that may have made it a two horse race; had it gone to a Tory membership vote, Penny Mordaunt would have had a chance, she was well-liked among the membership.

FFS Sword, how brainwashed are you? Global sanctions on Russia are in response to Russia invading another country.

So the insane economic war against Russia and sanctions have nothing to do with any of it? the government here and in the EU are always saying the war in Ukraine is to blame for some of it,not the sanctions. Russia had to be sanction to cut off the money supply that funds his war, eventually the pot will dry up, because he isn't going to chop in to his own personal Billions of wealth to fund his war games.
The people of Russia are the ones losing out, money that is supposed to be used for the Russian economy is being filtered in to the war chest, how else do you think Putin is going to give up, and who knows what he will do if it's game over for him.

FFS Sword, how brainwashed are you? Global sanctions on Russia are in response to Russia invading another country. Don't think he is disputing that Red, but he is saying the obvious which is such sanctions are the reason for the cost of living crisis and completely self harming. Given Ukraine is a civil war, only a negotiated settlement has a chance of success anyway so we should be pushing for that not just because economically it makes sense but because it is the only way for peace in Ukraine.

Does anyone read the Economist, behind a paywall they were saying Russia's economy is doing well? Russian economic growth is projected to be 3% by 2024, the same as the UK. Because Russia is a big country people think it has big economy, but it doesn't. Relative to the size of the country Russia has a small economy, on par with South Korea or Australia.

FFS Sword, how brainwashed are you? Global sanctions on Russia are in response to Russia invading another country. They have had sanctions on Russia for years, its just got worse since the war,and those sanctions are doing more damage to the clowns imposing them, they are also throwing billions at fueling the war,i believe the EU have said they will pay 1.5 billion a month to the Kiev regime, thats tax payers money and people are getting pissed off at being told to tighten their belts, also Russia exported $200 billion in oil the Country is sitting on a mountain of gold and the ruble was the strongest currency performer in 2022,its not me who is brainwashed its the Telegraph and SUN reading idiots.
