Report Boris has met Sunak tonight to thrash out a deal and avoid Tory civil war. Both men have the required votes. However the Tory membership would elect Boris. This means Sunak will probably settle as Chancellor again and Deputy PM. So looks like Bojo is to make the biggest come back since Lazerus. Also polls show he would WIN another election against Starmer. Love him or hate him, if he pulls this off this week, he becomes a political god You call this nonsense democracy?its all about how the tories can survive, what about the bloody Country? not so much moving the deckchairs about on the Titanic, more like moving shit around on a Cat litter tray.

Well they could have elected Corbyn. Then Ukraine would be a little bit more fucked without our help, so it's not all total shit.

I agree with you Jonksy, I hope he becomes leader. BRING BACK BORIS!

Yeh, I'd back Boris over Corbyn for that alone and I can't stand the Tories, never voted for em' in my life and never would other than for that - to prevent a genocide.
Same principle as with the greatest PM we ever had, Winston Churchill.
Ben Wallace is the hero here, not Boris though.

I don't think Boris will stand. I think he has had the meeting with Sunak to get some of his troops into the cabinet, and probably even himself, so he can start rebuilding his reputation... although we all know he will fuck it up again.
He might even do a deal with Rishi to get himself into the Lords, which would more suit his feckless nature.
This is one big wind up by the Tories so that there will be relief when Rishi is crowned.

A reaction which, I suspect, will be reflected across the whole left wing if Boris gets back in. Starmer will know the game's up for a start.
Can't wait! Should you not be spewing and sniping drivel at everybody, and wrecking threads with those who do not agree with your UKIP thinking one line wonders.. And what game is up that you cannot wait for. You do know Boris and his team lied through there teeth AGAIN when they announced he had the support of 100 MPs. You Swallowing the fanny hook line and sinker. Or at least not as I type. What is your fascination with racists prats and homophobic liars. You know North Korean standards. The standard of Johnston/Farage apologists.

I see that Boris still hasn't released the list of the hundred supporters his followers claim he has. I wonder why.

I can remember all those woke lefty remainers and lefty media pinning all their hopes on the release of the Grays report, that didn't go so well for them did it? What's a lefty woke remainer and a lefty media. Is a lefty the opposite of a right wing racist prat. Could you give me one benefit of Brexit. And in terms of your reference to common sense. As you point out and make very clear on a daily basis. Common sense is not common. Especially amongst Righties. Who are alway wrong. Just for you information. This is what in general the world thinks of England. Which is without doubt now a banana republic. Pointed out by the Germans. But I am sure like all the righties. You to are still at war with them. And back to the days of 1976 if it had not been for the Scottish Economy. England would still be a third world economic basket case banana Republic. Still in the hands of the IMF. The sick man of Europe. Where even the Americans who will not do deals with Bojoke, agree that is where it is back again. Making clear their views on the Irish protocol. But that is way past your thinking. Bankrupt England dragging Scotland with it. And you still have not told me what your problems is with taking the knee. Have you a problem with blacks. There are those on here who have ranted that if you are black you cannot be a Englishman. Is that your view as well. My mother was English and I was described as a half breed by UKIP thinking racist righties. I am sure the late HM the Queen who's mother was Scottish, and the present King who's father was Greek. Will walk backwards, and bow in admiration when they pass your front door. You know a lefty thing. Geez delusion and the deluded. www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/cabinetpapers/themes/sterling-devalued-imf-loan.htm

I agree no matter which one wins they are in for a really rough time to get the UK back up and running again, some very difficult decisions to be made which will not please some of the electorate, calling a GE now or even in the new year would be a daft thing to do if Labour win, we are back to square one again taxation will be the first thing go up and all the money will flow out of the UK within seconds

At Handyman I keep hearing that if taxes went up for the rich they will leave this country But no one has posted proof that this would happen .
And the way to stop happening is to have a high exit tax i think America does that

I think the ultimate intended model is for everywhere to have high taxes and tax policy that is no longer democratically decided.
Many people make the mistake of thinking that super rich universally want low tax regimes. Many of them simply want predictable revenue sources to feed on and government revenue serves this purpose as well as any other. The hiccup is, of course, a democracy, that may decide to move the feeding trough away from their tentacle.
