Imagine Boris and Nigel returning in the same week! We wouldn't need fireworks - the sound of exploding lefties would be everywhere! LOL

I don't think that is completely fair, a few off the cuff remarks about letter boxes and piccaninnies is hardly racism. I suspect the outrage is due to the inescapable fact that Boris will steamroller over the lefties, put Sturgeon in her box and do battle with the foreigners in Europe. Compared to the drab alternatives he is a Messiah, he will certainly liven this forum up. All he has to do is embrace the internal combustion engine, trigger the NI article, sink a few dinghies and he will be in power for two decades.

A reaction which, I suspect, will be reflected across the whole left wing if Boris gets back in. Starmer will know the game's up for a start.
Can't wait!

Many on the left deliberately misconstrue the piccaninnies comment where he was putting thoughts into the heads of the Queen and Blair as they accepted the plaudits of international groups. If he did all three of the above the Tories will win the next election, he will not so they will lose but Starmer definitely will not. We do seem to be doomed.

Why is it a bombshell the majority of Tories wanted Boris to stay it was the guardianistics liberal woke left and stupid Tory MPs that wanted him gone for there own warped reasons and were not interested in the public views or democracy and now they are running like headless chickens in case he comes back. Bombshell poll shows only Boris can beat Keir Starmer at a general election - as Johnson and Tory frontrunner Rishi Sunak lock horns in talks as they try to thrash out truce that could see the rivals share power in battle for the soul of the Conservatives Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak are set to meet in person later this evening Mr Johnson has landed at Gatwick Airport earlier today after returning from his Caribbean holiday He is said to have gathered 'more than 100 backers', but official figures from Conservative Home say 56 It is understood Mr Johnson could be willing to meet Mr Sunak to thrash out a deal to govern together However, many former Johnson allies have backed Mr Sunak, including Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch Latest figures from Conservative Home put Mr Sunak at 127 backers, Mr Johnson at 53 and Ms Mordaunt at 23 www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11344021/Boris-Rishi-meet-TONIGHT-hash-deal-govern-together.html

Sounds good, but the only thing that Boris really wants is to be PM at which Sunak might balk

The problem they have with Truss is that they cannot have a vote of no confidence as she hasn't been in the post long enough. is that a rule? I believe the prime minister had to be in post for a twelve month period before the party could go down the “letters to the head of the 1922 committee” route Nothing prevents the house calling a no confidence motion in the government, but the last time turkeys voted for Christmas was when Steel broke the ‘social compact’ Callaghan was toast and Maggie was allowed to destroy the ability of the lower waged 75% if the country to afford a roof over their head of any kind without ‘government’ handouts that went straight to party donors

Report Boris has met Sunak tonight to thrash out a deal and avoid Tory civil war.
Both men have the required votes. However the Tory membership would elect Boris.
This means Sunak will probably settle as Chancellor again and Deputy PM.
So looks like Bojo is to make the biggest come back since Lazerus.
Also polls show he would WIN another election against Starmer.
Love him or hate him, if he pulls this off this week, he becomes a political god

Love him or hate him, if he pulls this off this week, he becomes a political god The reports I’ve seen on this suggest what Boris’ supporters say he has got, and what he has got, may be two different things But the bottom line is if Sunak gets the job the party will be cut to shreds in 2024 because the little shit is behind the worst tax burden since Healey to try and appease Standard and Poors
