Well someone had better tell him and anyone else that I WILL NOT be personally attacked in totally off topic posts based on some paranoid fear of someone from another forum. I realise Vinny is somewhat imaginative but this is a personal matter
AND I WILL REPORT ANYONE WHO MISNAMES ME OR REFERS TO SOMEONE ELSE AS ME.
I have broken no rules, understand that this is an independent new and a forum unconnected with any other live forum.
In fact I have seen posts which accuse other people of being other people. Wherever I have been you play with the cards you are dealt. I don't care who you are personally. I could be talking to a serial killer named Tinkerbell. What I and Vinny should be interested in is the discussion, not who is the person behind it.
I repeat. Any more of this and I will take it further.

Perhaps regarding feenys column , and my earlier points , you can tell us mere mortals which part is factually untrue??
Are you denying british citizens in northern ireland have european citizenship , passports , and the european courts jurisdiction which means as von der leyen already said that british "legislation " in the 6 counties is subservient to european law?

Tariff free quota free trade. Independence to do our own thing. Ballot box honoured. Sovereignty transferred to devolved bodies and still some people sulk.

Oh do come on - you need to try harder than that. Feeney is a nationalist politician who wants a united ireland so of course he is going to rubbish whatever the Government in Westminster do. It's like relying on some clown from the SNP to pass a reasoned judgement on Government policy in Scotland. Oh and you are still wrong about european citizenship , passports , and the european courts jurisdiction.

Which supports my point.. explain? Read para 3 - NI is in the EU Single Market for goods alone.
Hence the people of NI cannot be EU citizens, have EU passports or have FoM in the EU - and the only time they come under ECJ jurisdiction is in relation to the implementation of the protocol, which as we have seen only covers the trade in goods.

I mean for exmaple we have northern irish unionists rip apart sunaks dodgy deal , even daft sammy wilson was on farages show telling us how in sunaks green lane miracle , bwitish goods will still need checks going to northern ireland , and how the latest wheeze from tory party hq still doesnt address the fact consitutionally northern ireland is still apart from the eu and has a border in the irish sea.
Lord frost says while sunaks deal( putting brave face on it) is better than his effort ," its still a bitter pill to swallow".
citizens in Northern Ireland will continue to enjoy their rights as EU citizens.
You mean you didnt know under the terms of the GFA , the british in northern ireland can carry irish passports , and by de fault european , and that recently many unionists including ian og were telling citizens of british perusasion to get their irish /EU passport for travel etc?
Im shocked pacifico.
A key plank of the deal is the bid to address complaints by Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) — currently boycotting the power-sharing assembly in the region in opposition to the protocol — that lawmakers there did not have a say in the imposition of new EU rules in the region
The EU’s safeguards: The CJEU will remain the “sole and ultimate arbiter of EU law” and will have the “final say” on EU single market disputes, von der Leyen stressed. Whether Brexiteers and the DUP are willing to accept that remains the million-dollar question.
Whereas Sunak stresses NI ‘s recovery of UK sovereignty, Frost points out reasonably that the deal is so called because it is indeed a framework for applying EU law
Next we come to the estimable Sam McBride in the Bel Tel. The border in the Irish Sea is still with us, writes Sam. Yes that’s that what red and green channels must mean. Indeed Channel 4 News last night revealed infrastructure plans costing tens of millions on a site behind Larne Port. What Sunak was trying to convey however that as a green lane customer you’ll usually be able to drive straight off. However Sam complains that the surviving bureaucracy is still “extraordinary”
Rather, as the EU last night made clear, there will be a reduction in the form-filling when sending GB goods to NI; what have been 80 data fields for each consignment will now be 21. The EU will see that data live and be able to request that British officials stop consignments and check it for them. Very obviously, that still represents a customs border in the Irish Sea… Northern Irish consumers buying products online will only be able to do so if the seller is prepared to fill in customs declarations.
The tories are hoping the plebs wont read the small print , where northern ireland is still effectively a european colony , and that everyone moves on and forgets about it. I would say this is fraught with difficulites for your party.
In the short term , i bet you are glad there isnt an election tomorrow.
In the long , as the pitfalls of sunaks dodgy BRINO for northern ireland deal emerge , and they will jsut as they did for johnsons previous dodgy deal , this is going to help further crucify the tories come election time.

See my post above. You clearly dont understand the GFA in terms of citizenship and passports , which sunaks and johnsons protocols both endorse .
Do people in Northern Ireland have freedom of movement in EU? Northern Ireland will remain in the single market for goods. The EU single market rests on 'four freedoms': free movement of goods, capital, services, and people. For example, there are no customs duties on goods moving between member states, and EU citizens are free to travel, work, and live in other EU countries.

How I knew that Thomas, was every headline before said latest statement of we are still in the EU were dodgy polls saying everyone had changed their minds. Blatantly obvious my dear Watson, it was going to be a political coup. Just like Sunak was never voted for by the Tory party as leader and was put in place against the voters wishes.

Not forgetting of course the freedom of movement clearly guaranteed in the GFA which means all migrants into the Republic of Ireland can cross freely into GB. I can't begin to imagine the smuggling of goods and more importantly people that will be going on.
