The supreme court has no jurisdiction over scotland. The highest court in scotland is the court of session in Edinburgh .If foreign courts and organisations have the right to have a say over scotland , then of course we must take this to european and world organisation the uk is bound by , as we did when scots took the constant denial by westmisnter regarding "home rule" to the council of europe who ruled in scotland favour which prompted major , then blair to deal with the issue in the mid nineties onwards .
Hoolyrood has the right to do whatever it can get away with. And if it decided that it wanted to hold indyref2 there is not much anyone else can do about it. But it looks as though little Nicky has read the runes and realised that come the referendum, the Nats will get their dials wiped. So she has jumped ship.
The Nats will now proclaim that everything is the fault of Westminster, the Labour party and everyone else, but the bottom line is that they have done a shit job of selling independence to the Scottish electorate.

Strange post from someone who has stated over many years he doesnt care about scotland , wishes at times scotland would leave , now is openly admitting he is irritated by thoughts of scottish indy and demanding we listen to some english court saying no? 
Well scotland is one of the oldest countries in europe , with secure borders that have been intact for 800 years.
Interesting that the shetland is british argument ( in terms of partitioninng scotland as punishemnt of we leave the yookay) had died a death when the brit nats realise
1. sheltand has no oil gas.
2. Shetland has just recently voted to not support king charles coronation in terms of haveing a bank holiday.

What other country in western europe obsesses about scotland the way England and many of its inhabitants does?

Even tory prime ministers such as Thatcher and Cameron of course famously acknowledged scotland right to self determination. Thatcher by a majority snp politicians taking scottish westminster seats , Cameron by referendum.

Scotland already exercised its self determination and voted to stay with the union.

Integrity of states is VITAL.
Even if Scotland went for secession, it would need a majority in favour, something which has never been demonstrated in a referendum.
