The USA was formed after a brutal war. Ireland broke away after a brutal war. The French revolution involved the murder of the monarchy. Are you suggesting that if you can't have your beloved indyref 2 (which you would lose anyway), that you'll turn violent ?
Scotland's already voted and emphatically said NO.
You have no mandate. And if the separatist cult turn terrorist, they'll be defeated by the Scots.

The USA was formed after a brutal war. You could argue that very point about every country in history including yours. England was formed after 500 years of brutal warfare between celt and saxon. Whats your point vinny?
Ireland had a right to break away . Not only did they democratically vote to back sinn feins 1918 independence manifesto which your country ignored , your countries elites had brutally invaded ireland , a free and independent country , numerous times over history.
Whats your point vinny?
It was , and many French say deservedly so as the French elite had abused thier position of trust over the French people for centuries till the breaking point in the 18th century.
The english murdered king charles 1 by cutting off his head in the 17th century. Whats your point vinny , if you even have one?
Where have i said or hinted at that? Pacifico and i were discussing the article and its contents. I didnt write the article , nor bring the french revolution into it.
You need to stop being a complete drama queen and making things up.
....and has given the snp government 5 subsequent mandates since for another indy ref , as well as even more emphatically voting to remain in the EU.
Democracy is a never endum vinny. You anti democrats wont stop it no matter how hard you whine.
We are the scots. You are the seperatists , who voted to stick two fingers up to our beloved european union and 500 million fellow european citizens.

Scotland is unionist, it built the union in the first place. The majority of Scots 55% already defeated you separatists.
And regarding me, I am a democrat.
If the EU was more democratic I would be a fan, but I never had any influence on its policies. Common agricultural policy for example.
As a voter there was only one way to abolish that policy and reform agricultural policy. Leaving.
We can still trade, be friends, have immigration.
And the thing is, even if we'd voted to stay in the EU, the moment you separatists lost, you began with "Yes 2, the dream will never die" crap. I saw it on the old Democracy Forum.
I remember you and Morayloon from there, and Jaydee too. You were all eager for another bite of the cake you've already eaten.
Amusingly, had you achieved your goal in 2014 you'd have left the EU by default, and without the article 50 process.
You'd have had a hard border with them and the English. Businesses would have left Scotland in droves.
You're in a cult. You don't realise that, but you are.

If you had your way , you would ban scottish people from voting unless you were assured we would vote the correct way.
Us scots defeated you english seperatists 62 % in 2016 , and more than 70 % now wish to rejoin our european union.
We are an outward looking european and internationalist country , that despises you right wing anglo saxon brexiter cultists and your isolationist policies.
You are a putin puppet , and brexit sent waves of delight through the kremlin in 2016 as all the world knows.
As for the hard border , the vast majority of scots are happy with a hard border as a consequence of staying in our european union away from your brexiter cultists and your anti european isolationist agenda.
If im in a cult , its somethng i share with 500 million fellow europeans , unlike you small clique of brexiter cultists and your return of empire fantasy delusion. End the yookay.
One europe , and one european people.

Ireland had a war and broke away because of destitution. The USA had a war and broke away because of slavers. India asked to break away because of destitution and Labour let it.
The UK with the support of Scotland broke away from the EU, mostly because of destitution. Scotland is the most affluent part of the UK. But you lost, 17.41 million (including Scots) to 16.1 million (including Scots).
Scotland would have left the EU had it left the UK anyway as it would have left the member of the EU.
The least affluent parts of the UK all voted for the UK to leave the EU. And you sneer at the destitute. You are in a cult.
Were your cult ever to succeed you would not qualify for EU membership because of their deficit rule.
The EU is not Europe.
Europe is not like the USA.
It is 50 countries including part of Russia (which sadly is currently a dictatorship).

Let's say Scotland breaks away from the UK and joins the EU.
Free borders are open to the EU and a million arrive from Romania, Poland and Balkan states. Scotland would suffer with many committing crime and overwhelming local services.
How many Scots would then realise the UK might just been right?

The trouble with that is Scotland out of the UK would be an economic wasteland, no Barnett payments, the EU will take their oil and fish, tourism will have died as no one would visit there, and then all the migrants would flood over the border to a better life in England. Besides, we see at the moment exactly how welcoming to migrants the Scottish Parliament is, with Sturgeon refusing to take her fair share.
There aren't many reasons to object to Scottish Independence, but that would be one of them.

The EU wouldn't even give Scotland membership. 1) Scotland wouldn't meet the EU deficit limits. 2) Spain would veto as they don't want Catalonia breaking away. But you're right, Scotland would become an economic and social wasteland.

Academic lawyers.
If we're not careful Whoiney will be along shortly with even more makey-uppey laws. Do you have a law degree, Squeaky? I doubt it. If you did, you would know about Hart's rule of recognition and Kelsen's grundnorm. These are basics of jurisprudence. It's these which are the basis of the claim in the OP, not 'makey-uppy' laws. And you appear to be confused about the source of 'makey-uppy' laws around here. You made up a law about contempt of court. When asked to cite a precedent, you were unable. You still haven't cited a precedent to this day. Now, you're claiming that others have made up laws! Care to provide a link? Because, as things stand, the only one of us who has put forward 'makey-uppy' laws is you.

Ireland had a war and broke away because of destitution. In the early twentieth century , parts of dublin were among the wealthiest parts of the british empire , and parts of wales and north west england among the most desitute. Ireland broke away because it was a seperate nation of people who wanted independence.
The us didnt exist. The american colonies fell out with britain over trade policy and taxation differences.
The old mughal empire had been among the most wealthy part of the globe before you british impoverished it. 40 000 british troops werent going to hold a sub continent of hundred of millions. You had no choice in the matter.
Vinny ,i think you are the funniest fat english comedian since les dawson. The most destitue parts of the uk wer areas like south wales , who voted for brexit despite the fact being told the EU were the biggest funders of the area.
Now they realise their mistake , and that its westmisnter , not our brussells parliament , that keeps them destitute.
The uk as a whole is far more impovershed since leaving the eu , so why was brexit the answer?
No london is . We are among the top though , but poorer for brexit and being taken away from our fellow europeans citizens.
When that nice man and fellow euopean keir starmer gets into power , i will be looking forward to him righting an anti democratic wrong where 55 % of english leavers took 62 % of scottish remainers out our beloved EU.
It would , and then immediately rejoined as a free independent european state.

Not even at his utmost bizarre has Jaydee come out with a belter like that. I think om , when keir starmer wins the next election , and takes you back into the EU , england should go back to being a constituent part of normandy , and to stop any future brexiter delusionists , make it a condition that the rest of france and our european union have a vote in any future faragist referendum.
So never again can 17 million right wing alf garnett crackpots be allowed to split our european union.
Your king is even duke of normandy in light of your european links and history. Whats not to like?

But you're right, Scotland would become an economic and social wasteland. Countless european figures have said it would be a fast track process for scotland to rejoin. The initial option favoured is EFTA , which would take three months . That would give us a starting point in the single market while waiting on full membership.
Spain wont veto scotland. In fact spanish politicians have said the exact opposite , they are more likely to disagree with england over gibraltar than doing little england dirty work for you against scotland.
