Whereas you seem to be arguing that the consequences will inevitably be negative and are some kind of strategy by billionaires to create a kind of strategic hamlet programme. My argument at base is that a restriction is a reduction - and nobody voted for a reduction. You still haven't dealt with this argument btw.

20 minute neighbourhoods.....So what you prattling on about as you cannot even answer a simple question You never asked a question. You on about bio metric doors . Then you claimed I pushed ‘ amenities’ when I asked you how they had anything to do with my point . I don’t know what you are on about tbh. How exactly are bio metric doors related to or part of the plan regarding 20 minute neighbourhoods?

When can we expect the disrespect of Bently thread and have I got time to nip out for a shed load of popcorn?

My argument at base is that a restriction is a reduction - and nobody voted for a reduction. You still haven't dealt with this argument btw. I am rationalising the inevitable. It could work, it could be an answer to a seemingly intractable problem. You are doing it again. Nope . You are missing the point again. Car ownership will reduce . Not because the government will tell you that you can’t own cars but because they will not be viable . Do you want a referendum asking whether the UK public want cars to be viable ? No? Ok so the concept of 20 minute neighbourhoods will be based on the inevitable. If you don’t like the inevitable then write to your MP.

But he is demanding that it is down to you, and many more like you, to save the planet. I have no objection to Billionaires doing largely as they wish, I do object to them doing that whilst doing their best to restrict everyone else and present those very restrictions as somehow an expression of his virtue. Yup. It’s the rich that gets the pleasure and the poor that loses the family saloon. what’s the answer, socialism? The irony …. I will try again. No problem in anyone getting the pleasure but if they are actively denying you the pleasure, for supposedly virtuous reasons, then there is a problem. The whole current concept actually depends on a socialist outlook. You will live here, you will work here, you may not go there without permission, you are free as long as you stay near home. Of course that is presented as homes for all, facilities for all, caring for all freedom for all. All within the confines of the good of all. That last part is conjectural at best.

You are actively being denied the use of fossil fuel cars which no doubt will eventually become illegal

Not because the government will tell you that you can’t own cars but because they will not be viable . The only reason i can see for cars becoming unviable in the foreseeable future is the government deliberately making them unviable.
I guess I'm questioning the whole dysfunctional, self-harming enterprise and asking when we voted for it.

The Oxford plan includes moving from your zone restrictions and in zone restrictions.
