Proof of the claim and how she manages to be so wealthy would be interesting. If she is as wealthy as suggested then she should not be entitled to state aid, there seems to be something fishy about the story.

She must know it will wind people up, and if she's telling porkies just to get attention, she's done that alright, unfortunately the wrong attention.

I work with a young guy who has a kid and lives with the mother. He works part time ( 4 days x 4 hours) and gets about £170 before tax. I’m not sure whether the mother works. He wants to buy his mums car and take an intensive course of driving lessons so he asked for more overtime . As I said he asked for overtime but bitched about doing extra shifts ( he wants to work extended ones) because he says that he will miss his kid. What I’m getting from this is that he is getting plenty of benefits from the government and has a sense of entitlement regarding his employer.

The Covid lockdown got people use to staying at home and getting paid for doing nothing, working people on lockdown should not have gone on furlough schemes, they basically got the same amount of pay to stay at home and do nothing. They should have been placed on temporary unemployment benefits which would have only paid them the going rate for unemployment benefit, most of those on furlough schemes especially the hospitality industry have not returned to their old jobs. I also think a lot of jobs have gone and peoples savings have taken a battering during the two years of lockdowns so it is a mixed bag. In your example though surely you can't work from home in the hospitality industry.

The problem with that is that the furlough wasn't really optional. The government would be saying to millions of people that we are forcing you into effective unemployment and you just have to lump it.It was ill thought out really, because a lot of employers especially in the hospitality industry are finding it hard to recruit staff, mainly because the ones on furlough were mainly young school leavers starting out, and furlough gave them a taste for staying at home doing nothing and getting paid.
I say this because we dine out quite a lot of places, and many of the 'old' faces (meaning the young regular servers) have not returned since lockdown was lifted, and they always seem to advertising for staff.
Almost all industrial output ground to a halt as companies were forced to send people home. A government forcing people to sit at home and lose their homes to the repo man would find itself overthrown by violence very, very quickly After all, if you take away the means I and my children have to make their way in the world and put them under house arrest to the point they cannot earn, and are thrown in the street, their possessions locked in houses bailiffs prevent them from entering, just how long do you think it will take for those with nothing now left to live for start rioting ? And while some of you woke shitheads don’t know how that is done, trust me, some of us remember the 1980s …

Indeed, 'Jareem Akram', living the high life on benefits. This is why every illegal in the world is desperate to get to a Kent beach and tell the left wing authorities they are refugees, after throwing their passports in the channel. We must be mad.

Some refugees, and some asylum seekers are genuine, but not all.
We need to filter out the ones who are not genuine, and going by what I have read, that would include anyone from Albania for example.
Asylum seekers and refugees outside of detention camps, live on an allowance of £5 per day, and that fiver has to buy food, clothes, toiletries and cleaning materials.
Asylum seekers who are housed, are usually housed in areas and places where most British people dont want to live, in some of the worst areas in Britain, in areas which are almost always deprived and not far from been slums.
Many asylum seekers (most) want to be able to go out and work, but the rules bar them from doing so ... and we have a labour shortage in this country.
Some asylum seekers and refugees are highly qualified people, many have degrees, some are doctors, chemists, engineers, pharmacists and teachers.
I accept that there are refugees or asylum seekers who are here under false pretences, but not all of them, some are genuinely escaping war, torture, persecution and / or imprisonment or death because of their faith, their beliefs, their background or their politics or for a host of other reasons.

And while some of you woke shitheads don’t know how that is done, trust me, some of us remember the 1980s … We now know the government were over generous with their furlough schemes.
"The extent of fraud and error within the government’s furlough scheme is far wider than expected, a report has revealed.
The Public Accounts Committee’s (PAC) updated Covid-19 cost tracker, published yesterday (23 February), found that an estimated 8.7 per cent of money distributed by the government’s furlough scheme – equivalent to £5.3bn – has been lost to fraud and error.
Of course their were genuine people needing help, and no one expected them to lose their homes, be them rented or mortgaged.
There was a ban on landlords evicting tenants, and as far as I am aware mortgage companies were offering holiday breaks for those struggling.
No one appeared to be less well off under the furlough scheme, in fact most were better off, unfortunately it's lead many to believe they are still better off not working, because of the perks you get being unemployed, like housing benefit.
I hope if anything good comes out of this, we now know 'locking' people down does not work, it has the opposite effect, and is disastrous to economies.

I absolutely 100% disagree. Regardless of whatever status someone claims to be, if they pay a people smuggler to get them from the 'safe' EU state of France to an English beach, they are criminals and should be treated accordingly. Anyone who does not accept this is not only legitimising people trafficking, but encouraging it.

The left wing wankers in the Border Force/Home Office who let these criminals in should be charged with gross incompetence. They're a disgrace.
