Easily? The scheme hasn't got close to the practical issues. History's floor is littered with naysayers. Yet somehow, here we are.

History's floor is littered with imbecilic and unhinged 'master plans' that were relentlessly forced on unwilling populations by blind fanaticism

History's floor is littered with naysayers. Yet somehow, here we are. Fine. Now can you practical points I raised? How can I address such a vague point as.. "Easily? The scheme hasn't got close to the practical issues." Name some of these practical issues and I'll try to answer you. Ah wait, I see you edited your post. It already goes to your house. Ev's charge at 7kwh the same as your shower, so the cables are quite capable of carrying the load. They charge at night when you're not using the power for other things. They don't have to charge the car battery from zero every night as most people only travel about 11 miles per day. Why do you keep asking the same questions?

I gave you a couple of practical points .How would you get the power from the street to your house? Or even of there was sufficient energy to power your EV? If you don't want do do deal them, fine.

well thats no different to parking in the local car park and using the public chargers in there - you still end up paying commercial charging rates. the fluff about EV's is that you can charge them on cheap energy from home - except for much of the country (mainly the poorer part) that is technically impossible.

Yes it is an advert, but it is an honest advert. If your firm does some really smart stuff then it is right that you talk about it. The difference in this culture is the advert will spin you and use tricks to make you think it is good when it is not. If you read the kind of shit from Britishvolt you will see what I mean. I think they used the words world leading several times. CATL is more impressive by its growth rate. One firm is intelligent, the other is a bunch of actors to put it bluntly. I mean obviously you are not going to put £10 000 worth of new batteries in a car that's probably only worth a few hundred quid. That's the real reason they are running on their original batteries. Oh yes Chinese never lie. Wong Li.

Couple of things. One was that the idea is your permit is for outside your home. Two that charging costs will be reasonable. However as the number of cars grows so will the competition to sell charging and the price will fall.

If you are meeting massive resistance there might be a very good reason for it. I find it hard to believe you really take the above notion seriously - ie progress involves change, therefore anyone who is against (critcises) the changes I want is against progress
