The way it looks things might get so dire that nobody really will have time for this nonsense. Not much of a consolation though.

Your rude and sexist comments about the First Minister will quite rightly be considered an insult to Scotland and to the Scots by some, this is typical of the hate and misogyny that all English fascists exhibit towards Wee Nicola, and I shouldn't at all be surprised if someone or other does not come along in a moment to remind us of that.

In discussing this one, to get to the nub of the problem we need to separate the issue of gender recognition from the constitutional one. Insofar as the former is concerned - whatever the rights and wrongs - the Scottish parliament has democratically voted a certain way. If the Westminster parliament comes along and says we don't like what you have decided so we are going to overrule you, then that is an arrow aimed at the very heart of devolution itself. It will likely create a shite storm north of the border and drive more people into the arms of the independence seekers, and will likely hasten the end of the Union itself in the long run. And it will be grist to the mill for Sturgeon who could not have hoped for better. There will be a long legal wrangle over the issue of the sovereignty of the Scottish parliament that will play to her gallery and she will milk it for all it is worth.

Yes and that is the end result Sturgeon was hoping to achieve.
She doesn't give a frig about transgenders and their rights, she knew exactly how Westminster would react, and it worked.
Now she's going to say... 'I told you so' ... Westminster tell Scotland what to do... We need to be independent.

I doubt whether it was deliberately planned, but whether it was or not makes no difference. Westminster has played right into her hands. She couldn't have hoped for better..

Well she wanted them to be seen as the bad guys, but I am pleased this government stood up to her, she really does need to get a life.

It is exactly what she could have hoped for. I agree with you, but if people realize that was her ultimate goal, then they will see her for what she really is.
The transgenders will not be happy that she has 'used' their cause to gain support for a independent Scotland.
The transgenders are being used as political pawns in Sturgeons plot, I honestly believe she does not care about transgender or their rights, she's a opportunist and took the opportunity to exploit this group of people for her own political goals ... namely Scottish Independence.... Shame on that woman.
