I have no idea what the fuss is about, other than that the First Minister wants to be a woman and Jaydee hopes to jump the species gap and become a human being. But as a general rule I reckon that trans have problems enough and don't need them made worse.
But as said, I have not been following the debate.
So what is going on?

Here is the Statement made in the HoC, also shows the predictable outrage from the great unwashed on the SNP front benches.

Shouldn't Sturgeon be using her time and effort sorting out real issues in Scotland, like the NHS, that she's let go to rack and ruin.
She's spending all of her time and our money on Inderef2 and transgender nonsense, when are the people of Scotland had enough and kick this useless poor excuse as a leader out on her arse.

The UK government has blocked a new law intended to allow trans people in Scotland to change their legal gender without a medical diagnosis – a controversial move that has added fuel to the already highly emotional debate over Scottish independence. Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s First Minister, called the intervention “a full-frontal attack on our democratically elected Scottish Parliament and its ability to make its own decisions on devolved matters,” in a post on Twitter on Monday. Scottish Secretary Alister Jack – the minister representing Scotland in the UK government – announced Monday that Westminster had taken the highly unusual step of blocking the Scottish bill from becoming law because it was concerned about its impact on UK-wide equality laws – a justification that trans rights groups dismissed. Here’s what you need to know: What’s in the Scottish law ? The law is designed to make it easier for people in Scotland to change their legal gender. Under the current system, trans people must jump through a number of hoops to change the gender marker in their documents. They must have a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria – a condition defined by the distress caused by the discrepancy between a person’s body and their gender identity – and prove that they’ve been living in their chosen gender for two years. They also need to be at least 18 years old. edition.cnn.com/2023/01/16/europe/scottish-gender-law-uk-constitution-intl-gbr/index.htmlNow you know what the fuss is about you can give your views This has given me a new idea for forums. Posters don't have to have an opinion to start a thread. For instance they don't have to ask what the weather forecast is. The put on a thread saying ".There is supposed to be a lot of weather about today. Does anyone know what it is and if so they can tell us what they think about it so we can discuss it."

Personally I think Sturgeon knew this controversial law would rattle Westminster, she also knew it would more than likely be opposed.
I also think she is now using it as a weapon for Indyref2, highlighting to the people of Scotland why they want to become independent, she's a conniving chancer.
Most can see through her never ending obsession and mental illness she's developed over wanting a Independent Scotland. ... she needs help

I don't really have any views. As I may have said, I have a lot of pretty damned odd friends and relatives and as long as they are happy then so am I. That said, it does appear to be a particularly badly drafted law.

It's all about we Jimmy McSturgeon attempting to attract the trans vote because as far as the mainstream electorate are concerned she's about as popular as a dose of herpes.

To be fair, she'd probably ending up giving Morgan one. I'm sure she's lubing up the strap-on as we speak.
