You don't get better crumpets than Warburtons......Warburtons crumpets are delightful. Not sure what Waitrose are banging on about. Maybe stop being to toffy nosed and imagining there's a problem. The consumer likes this product, but obviously may not fit well with the Waitrose brand... Or maybe Waitrose can't hike the price up as much as it would like... Or maybe Waitrose just cannot create a crumpet as good. Anyway, Waitrose need to get a grip!
Waitrose bans Warburtons from shelves to disgust of shoppers: Supermarket giant's crumpet sales take a hit after mysteriously removing Brexit-backing family brand from shelves in 'row over performance' The baker, run by pro-Brexit Jonathan Warburton, sells 124m crumpets per year Waitrose said the Bolton baker's 'performance didn't meet expectations' Customers have demanded a U-turn or threatened to shop elsewhere now Mr Warburton backed Brexit in 2016 and baker has donated to the Conservatives

Warburtons crumpets are tasteless poor texture crap, I could care less where they stood on Brexit. The real scandal is why won't any supermarket I know of have KIngsmill's excellent crumpets on their shelves?

I agree, you will usually find a pack of Warburtons crumpets in the kitchen at Rackham Towers. Couple of crumpets smothered in butter and a cup of tea for elevenses, cant beat it. We have tried other crumpets but none, imo, are as good as Warburtons.

I tend to agree but crumpets and bagels are subject to extreme variation in brand and across brands and switching is the usual option. For a short while Morrison's cheapo crumpets were quite nice. It seems more likely that there is a price and supply dispute. Customer power should win in the end.

If I or anyone else took any other brand of crumpets into work we would be wearing them where the sun don’t shine for a week or more…..LOL

The unenlightened British public voted in 2016, based partly on their own opinions, and more importantly on what they were been told by politicians.
Since Brexit, things have never been the same in supermarkets, and they still aren't today, doing business, importing and exporting is much harder, more complicated, and involves much more red tape and form filling.
Our fishermen and fishing industry is no better off, in fact much of the industry is worse off, and trading even within the UK is now difficult, and putting the Good Friday Agreement at risk.
There is nothing, or very little thats positive which has come out of Brexit, the downsides are huge and are impacting our economic ability.
LIttle wonder then that there are growing calls to reset our relationship with the EU, with the backdrop of a majority of British people now believing that Brexit was a mistake, and a bad idea.
The Referendum was a battle won by the anti-Europe people, but the actual "War" is not over, and the "war" has now swung very much in favour of Pro Europeans.

You do realise that not all dissenting voices on the disastrous Brexit decision come from one person don't you? If recent polls are accurate it's up to two thirds of the population who feel that way.

LOL, I love it. Remainiacs still whinging about the 'disastrous' Brexit decision. FFS the referendum in which the majority voted to leave the EU was nearly seven years ago. For god sake get over it.
