You don't fight terrorism by pushing the overwhelming innocent majority of an identifiable community into the hands of the niche terrorist element as Red wants us to do. It has never ever worked. You fight it by isolating the terrorist niche from their sources of supply and recruits. But MI5 say of the 43,000 people on a watchlist 90% of them are Islamist terror suspects. That's more than a 'niche' wouldn't you say. Or in your opinion is MI5 wrong? If so, lets see your evidence. It must be said your MO is as ever, expected. It would be contrary to the their "Human Rights" (Article 9: Freedom of thought, belief and religion).
Another good reason to opt out of that utterly ridiculous convention.
I have already mentioned that when dealing with the Islamic religion and with many of its followers, one is all too often not dealing with rational individuals. That is the situation that exists so thinking people have to find the different ways of changing the issues. Which IMO starts with recognising that probably most Muslims are just people who want to get along with others and are already against the extremists in their ranks. Quite possibly. But the fact remains Muslims don't do themselves any favours, do they. They demonstrate at the drop of a hat and they seem to think they're special, they think their feelings are more important than anyone else's and even though this is not an Islamic country we must all tip-toe around their cultural sensitivities, but no one gives a toss about my cultural sensitivities. Have you ever seen a demonstration in this country in which the demonstrators were threatening violence and death and those involved were not Muslims? No, me neither. And the thing is, if I demonstrated and demanded violence and death I would be arrested and charged with all sorts of hate crimes. And you know that's the truth. The fact is, Islam is not compatible with anything, other than Islam. |

Change ‘ Islamic’ to ‘ right wing ‘ and see how the usual suspects would spread the blame across ‘ right wingers’ ie not lefties . If 90% of Brexiters were extremists , I suspect they would claim that Brexit was the main cause of terrorism…nor just a few Brexiters . Not exactly a good analogy because we know that no one's suggested 90% of Brexiters are extremists AND we know from Red's own figures that 99% of muslims aren't even suspected of maybe being terrorists. It was a good analogy . All of the reasons that you proffered to support your claim that it was not exactly a good analogy were not exactly good reasons . |
