No I expect it to do what it says on the tin, be a charity, not a tax free way of creating global corporations. Which produces fat cats on the back of those who volunteer for doing the real graft. As you asked. I'm just pointing out that you can't expect people who work for charities to be charitable themselves. Apart from which do you want the most capable person for the job? Then you have to pay him the rate he could earn elsewhere or even more. Fine, then stop calling it a charity and call it a business. But then how many people would dig in their pockets then? Or volunteer their time for free? |

Ive worked and contribute to a homeless charity for over 13yrs and know the ceo very well and she would earn my money working for a soical housing executive than the job she does now

All I'm saying is that you need to have the same skills to run a charity successfully as you do a business so you need to pay a competitive salary unless you can find a very successful businessman to work for less. I'm currently sipping a delicious 12 year old Macallan, a gift, and although it's not a Glenmorangie it is a speyside so equally delicious and should never be mixed with anything, other than an ice cube or two. As for the RNLI, or ITS (immigrant taxi service) as it's known these days, I was reading a link earlier that said between 2019 and 2021 donations fell sharply due to the RNLI bringing immigrants to this country. I will endeavour to find it if you insist, but tbh I'm sure you could find the same or similar, we do after all use the same internet. Don't worry about the clown mate he don't live in the real world. The truth is RNLI donations are down big time and many lifeboat houses have had to rely on bloody tombolas and coffe mornings to now implement their income. The locals here would piss in the collection tins if they were waved in their face whilst shopping etc. Ah Johnsky Clarkson. The man with the working brain cell. I certainly do not worry about clowns matey. They are not worth the effort. And I am sure in hate filled England the racists including Enoch Braverman have spread the gospel. The RNLI are volunteers that put their lives on the line to save people in peril. Those that malign or misrepresent them are utter gits. No, you're wrong. You describe the old RNLI, the RNLI who had the respect and support of the public. The new RNLI does not have the respect or support of the public because it's little more than a taxi service for illegals, which is why RNLI donations are falling. Who'd a thunk it. Its job is to save lives at sea. Your job was to vote for a party that would control its borders and bring back sovereignty, get Brexit done and all the idiotic sound bites for idiots to believe, and reduce immigration. I hate to contradict your shrill diatribe against the English, but I would like to point out that ALL the incoming boat people are being hosted, fed, and watered in England, the Scottish authorities have refused to help or accept any illegal migrants into Scotland.

First things first, we do not build enough houses.
Because house prices keep rising and wages can't keep pace, mortgages are getting more and more expensive.
Next, energy.
Earlier this year petrol was over £2 a litre as was diesel, fuel is still quite expensive.
Electric cars are not an option for many people.
Gas and electricity prices are higher than they should be because we underproduce.
Some North Sea gas platforms were shut down in the 2010s for 'environmental' reasons.
The reduction of supply has lead to price increases.
Coal fired power stations were shut down in the 2010s, some have been destroyed.
Supply has fallen, demand has remained the same.
Price has risen.
Our remaining deep coal mines were closed creating such a problem that we're now looking at restarting deep coal mining, for the steel industry.
But we could have been using deep coal mining for electricity as well (whilst using carbon capture and storage).

The volunteers do not want to participate in illegal endorsement. That is against the very foundations of the RNLI. Nobody resents giving to the RNLI but they do resent seeing the lefty woke RNLI mamagement pissing the funds against the wall and supplimenting those who choose to put their own mortality on the line. I wonder how all these lefty idiots who support that would still hold the same view if one of their family were lost at sea as the the RNLI were too frigging busy saving those who are indulging in criminality? |
