Apparently the queues at the airports today where immigration desks have been manned by the Army are flowing a lot better than when the border force are not on strike - many people saying that they dont need to rush back.

If the army are replacing the Border Force, they'll need to man the South Coast.

If the army are replacing the Border Force, they'll need to man the South Coast. Perhaps they could just mine the beaches and put up warning signs in 132 languages.

I said, earlier today, that the RNLI should be financed from the public purse, not to have to have begging adverts on telly.

You can't have border control per se on a mid sea border

I listened to an outside broadcast reporter mention this earlier, on GB News I think. The response from the studio was - 'lets hope they stay on strike'. OK it was said in jest, but thinly veiled, and I'm sure the vast majority of listeners/viewers agreed.

No, you're wrong. You describe the old RNLI, the RNLI who had the respect and support of the public. The new RNLI does not have the respect or support of the public because it's little more than a taxi service for illegals, which is why RNLI donations are falling. Who'd a thunk it.

That's malicious libel, how unsurprising you posted it And just to really piss in your whisky and ginger, RNLI donations went up after you and your chums got all angry about them rescuing migrants

How very dare you. I'm currently sipping a delicious 12 year old Macallan, a gift, and although it's not a Glenmorangie it is a speyside so equally delicious and should never be mixed with anything, other than an ice cube or two. As for the RNLI, or ITS (immigrant taxi service) as it's known these days, I was reading a link earlier that said between 2019 and 2021 donations fell sharply due to the RNLI bringing immigrants to this country. I will endeavour to find it if you insist, but tbh I'm sure you could find the same or similar, we do after all use the same internet.

It's not as simple as govt or unions. This is all about bringing down the government which began with the concerted plan to remove Boris Johnson - which involved many groups including the BBC et al. There are two main forces now who want to bring down the govt - the Labour party and the Remainers (who are spread over many parties, including many in the Conservative party). They want the govt out ASAP because they're not confident that Labour's majority will last until early 2025 (which is about as late as the Tories can leave the GE). This is not about money. It's about taking the UK back into the EU. I have some tin foil you can borrow if necessary.
