other lie from andrea.. Another lie from andrea... Nope, prices are down from where they maxed, even with the recent increases. Squeezed is right for the second time in recent weeks. At least someone is paying attention.

At least someone is paying attention. Gas and Electricity prices are up 10% in the UK. It seems you are the one needs to pay attention. The only way your prices could be lower is if you have used less energy this year compared to last year.

At least someone is paying attention. I acknowledged over the last three years the price is down from the max it was when I pointed out my monthly d/d trebled from 2021 , then when back down to double. Recently though this has went back up 10 %. So your first sentence is rather deliberately vague and disingenuous. Not one household in the uk can say they are back paying a respectable amount on energy per month compared to what the long term average was.

Not one household in the uk can say they are back paying a respectable amount on energy per month compared to what the long term average was. From 1 October to 31 December the price for energy for a typical household who use electricity and gas and pay by Direct Debit will go up to £1717 per year. This is an increase of 10% and adds around £12 per month to an average bill. The new cap is 6% (£117) cheaper compared to the same period last year (£1,834).

How would you like to make your apology? well , unless you are living wrapped in an old army blanket like my tight arse neighbour , using a candle for light and heat , I would love to know who people are using as their suppliers. I wish my energy price was down on this time last year. Ive went from approx £100 per month dual fuel , to over three hundred quid a month , down to £200 a month since 2021 , and ive had to jump through fucking hoops just to maintain that price compared to this time last year. Thats a family of four , two at university and further education , the other two out the house mainly working full time , and general usage of gas and electricity down on average compared to the norm pre 2021. Cut out all the excesses , tumble drier usage and the like. making sure stuff turned off , not on standby. I cant get my costs , mainly electric down any further. Helluva a lot of straw clutching going on in this thread . Labour promised to get energy bills lowered by £300 per annum, and so far , since elected ,they have increased by approx £144 on average. Glad the great energy con is working out for someone though Andrew.

And those who do not pay by DD pay even more..

You didn't even read your own quote where you told me it was still 6% cheaper than this time last year. 🙈 How would you like to make that apology for calling me a liar?

In REAL terms electricity and gas prices in the UK have risen..
And hell would freeze over before I aplogised to the likes of you..
EDIT........Paying for gas and electricity by direct debit is generally cheaper than paying when you receive your bill:
Cost Paying by direct debit can be around 6% cheaper than paying when you receive your bill.

Does a lower cap make everyone’s bill cheaper or just set a level that it can’t go beyond ?

It's just that he didn't read what he'd quoted. im addressing your turd polishing with my own question Andrew , and im sure jonsky doesn't need me to hold his hand. You appeared to be "implying" that your life had somehow miraculously improved under the four months of this new labour government , which was why I jumped in . we can all turd polish regarding things like energy prices. I was better off under the conservative Westminster governments energy policy from early 23 to July 24 , where my monthly energy costs fell by a third , roughly £100 per month. Since labour got elected , my personal monthly energy d/d has stagnated , with the cap slightly rising in real terms , and predicted to rise further in the coming few months. which government shall I thank?
