But does he get to work 4 days instead of 5 or still in other words get paid by the state 100% for now doing 80%. how the other half live sheepwash . Us boys who work in the private sector dont have such luxury..... It was a nice try on their part, but I don't see them getting away with it, most of the lazy bastards cannot even be bothered turning up for a days work anyway and then complain they are under staffed. Taking the piss has its limitations.

Well anyway... Based upon your assertions, I decided to check my bank statements and I reproduce the relevant sections here: As you can see, I am paying less than I was at the same time last year. As is Andrew. So you are factually incorrect. And I rest my case. I call it horseshit. You were paying dual fuel £2880 per annum in 2019 , which is way above average , but are now paying less than the cost of inflation on that above average 2019 bill? during an energy crises? lol. The only two cunts in Europe feeling "better" about their energy bills , and they happen to be on this forum. The mind boggles . Ah, you're in denial.
I can't argue with that.

You must've been putting Scotch on your cornflakes again.

so we see throughout the thread. I think it you who is in denial about energy costs. Energy costs Nov 2023: Electric Day 21.17p per KWh, Night 6.79p per KWh, Standing charge 48.002p per day. Gas 6.7641p per unit, standing charge 27.726p per day Energy costs Nov 2024: Electric Day 22.27p per KWh, Night 7.14p per KWh, Standing charge 27.348p per day. Gas 5.3361p per unit, standing charge 31.102p per day So, as you can see, although there has been an increase in the unit cost of electric, the standing charge has almost halved. With gas, there has been an increase in the standing charge, but a significant reduction in unit cost. For the vast majority of people that is going to leave them better off.

Thank the good lord you have it all under control Andrew, phew I was thinking Thomas might have a point. We wouldn't want him thinking he was being taken advantage of by a bunch of sharks.

You must've been putting Scotch on your cornflakes again. I asked which energy supplier you were with before noticing it Was octopus energy. Without even going over how much nonsense you are talking regarding octopus energies massive price rises since 2019 , which is in line with what the other energy companies have charged , ie far way and above the silly £40 a month price increase you are claiming , I had a look at their unit rates today compared to this time last year. Of the tracker , flexible and fixed unit rates , on both gas , and electricity , the only unit rate that is marginally less than this time last year is the fixed gas unit rate. all the others , especially electric , are way above what they were this time last year. So even if you are on the cheapest deal with octopus , im still not understanding how on earth you alone can be so vastly better off on your energy bills as you are claiming. looks like you are falling for yet more media propaganda , and doubling down on your "better off this year compared to last" . your claim to have made a £95 per month saving is horseshit.

You're graph shows that what we are saying is correct. Also the cap applies to all suppliers, so which supplier you use doesn't make a difference.

The only unit rate that is cheaper compared to this time last year is the fixed gas unit rate. how he has made a swing of £95 a month is beyond me. As for the standing charges , while the majority raised (the already high) standing charges , octopus from what ive read kept theirs the same . who is your energy supplier?

Where in that graph does it show a saving of 25% as squeezie is claiming on energy bills from this October to last October.
