I visit the USA regularly as my partner is a yank..And you were the one spouting off about the Chinese beings the ones that are exploited...And still no answer to that in your usual uniformed ramblings.. The Chinese are not particularly beloved by me. Immigrant unskilled labourers of any nationality are exploited in the US, not just the Chinese who built the railroad, and they were most definitely exploited.I can assure you that when I ramble, I am certainly not in uniform. No one held a gun to their heads to emigrate to the USA they did that out of their own free choice. You just have an unhealthy downer on America. A typical trait of the lefty free loaders we have in the world today it's just the usual politics of envy and faux concerns for the under dogs.

The US exported much of its manufacturing industry from the 70/ 80s.
Trump is trying to get it back . I don’t see this being done soon and I don’t see it being done painlessly but the workers have twigged that the liberal elite hate them and have acted accordingly.
The irony is that one might expect lefties to be trying to protect the blue collar worker but they have abandoned them . Instead the left is obsessed by net zero and assorted ‘ Marxist’ ideologies.

We were talking about immigrants, and now you're veering off into automotive industry issues which have more to do with imports than immigrants. As workers on the railroad, the Chinese were brought to the US, where they worked at hard labour jobs six days a week and were underpaid. That fact is a matter of public record. Detroit's woes, on the other hand, have to do with auto imports, not immigrants. In my mind, these are separate issues. And once again, I am no particular fan of China. |
