The arms dealers who got rich off the Ukraine war are in Russia dear along with mafia scum who sold Ukrainian land to Russian settlers illegally.

Bad for Ukraine, bad for European neighbours of Russia, good for dictatorships and bankers and billionaires. Also bad for American women and girls, bad for immigrants, bad for church/state separation, bad for the Paris Accord, bad for Americans in need of health care and for LGBTQ health care in particular, and very bad for Democrats in particular, who now have no hope of justice from the corrupt Supreme Court.

Bad for any woman miscarrying who needs an abortion to save her life too. Bad for justice. Bad for victims of the orange nonce friend of nonce Epstein. It's a pretty shit result, but it wasn't our election.

I'll bite too
As I said elsewhere, One factor that went down well is Trump asking if people felt better off than they were two years ago... I saw this claim in a lefty BBC apologist's writeup of why the fools voted for Trump... But now I think about it I recall hearing him say it
And it seems it hit a chord. Harris was seen as part of the cause of people being less well off. And blame her. It may be unfair, but it works.

Regardless, Britain and Europe will certainly feel the repercussions just as soon as Trump begins levying harsher and broader tariffs on all imports. Ditto when he takes the US out of NATO, which is well within his power now that Congressional support is all but certain, given that the Republicans have control of the Senate and very likely also the House, not to mention the SCOTUS.

When Trump's new broader, harsher tariffs on all imports start costing the public at least 60% more, and when millions of Americans are denied healthcare once Trump dismantles the Affordable Care Act, when the rising death rate of women of childbearing age starts to hurt men, and when only the mega wealthy benefit from tax cuts, I don't want to hear any of the MAGAts complaining. They voted for it.

The Democrats pushed the lie that creepy Joe was a smart cookie when we couldn’t see him and when they couldn’t push that lie any more they lined up Harris , someone who makes Diane Abbot look like a genius . The democrats bet the farm on two stooges and lost . They are as guilty as anyone for Trumps success

He has proudly taken the credit for depriving women of abortion care. And he has a provable track record of having given tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefitted the mega wealthy. That is all a matter of public record.

The people have spoken - they didn't like the type of county that the Democrats were leading them towards. Abortion is (rightly) a State issue and, as we saw today, the States are setting their own rules.

I'm predicting what Trump himself has said he will do and what he has, in fact, already done.

Indeed they have and it’s much fun watching Starmer & co squirming and we have to respect the choice the voters there made but that doesn’t stop observations of some of the consequences, and as far as abortion they may make their own rules but if that results in women being forced to take to term life that is not viable,or rape victims too though obviously I don’t know the ins and outs of state laws and am speculating but if some of those I speculated on will apply it’s the same sort of road the taliban would take and what we would condemn. I always distrust any religion having influence over laws and the US Bible Belt is no exception. Anyway here’s an interesting piece from the NY Times Point1 for me is spot on they have to face the reality they lost and it was fair and square. Points 5 & 6 could easily apply to this country and the ranters and ravers who imagine anyone not agreeing with them is far right, there is no viable far right here but keep pushing the way you do and your wish may just be fulfilled.

Abortion is (rightly) a State issue and, as we saw today, the States are setting their own rules. On the nail … The people having a meltdown right now, spent 4 years broadcasting scare stories about what Trump will do … and what he did before he got elected … and did 4 years in Office … with no serious glitches. His record of achievement, compared to Harris/Biden stuck hosting a 2 wars presidency … was more than Americans could stomach. The FLOOD of ILLEGALS through southern borders was another ‘dropped ball’ … unfit to govern … springs to mind …. The Tories made that mistake about Homeland security … and Starmer is following suit. His days are numbered … and I guess the ‘special relationship’ with America is already showing signs of strain … as Trump once again acknowledges Nigel Farage at his celebration rally … whilst Whitehall has APOPLEXY!

They have conceded defeat, and done so peacefully and with dignity. Harris made a concession speech today and the Democrats did not mount an attack on the Capitol or any such protest.
