A woman has pleaded guilty to throwing a milkshake over Nigel Farage. Victoria Thomas Bowen has pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to assault by beating and criminal damage. She threw a milkshake over the Reform UK leader outside a pub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, during the general election campaign on June 4. Farage was doused in the McDonald’s milkshake as he left the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub in the Essex seaside town. She had originally denied the charges [Silly cow] and was due to go on trial this morning, but she changed her please to guilty just before proceedings started. Deputy senior district judge Tan Ikram adjourned sentencing to December 16 and told the defendant: ‘You have pleaded guilty to, in my judgment, two serious charges. This was an unprovoked, targeted attack now on an elected member of parliament. I take a serious view of these offences. I am seeking a pre-sentence report which will consider all options for sentence.’ metro.co.uk/2024/10/21/woman-admits-throwing-milkshake-nigel-farage-21835185/I'll be honest, I don't think she deserves a prison sentence. Yes she's a silly cow but throwing a milkshake at someone does not in my opinion deserve a custodial sentence.

Judge Ikram again.
Based on recent history, whatever he decides will probably be overturned the week after.

Whilst I agree to some extent it could just as easily been Acid , Drain Cleaner or something similar that could have caused serious injury to his face and eyes, its the fear factor you could see the fear in Farage's face and those near him who also were splashed. Its not the first time he has had a Milkshake thrown out of him, like him or loath him he should not be targeted even by a silly Tart who wants the Publicity , there are far too many nutters out there who would do much worse, two MP's have been murdered in recent times

You cant punish someone for throwing milkshake on the basis it 'might' have been acid. I'm not suggesting she should be let off, but any punishment should be proportional and a custodial sentence for chucking milkshake would not, in my opinion, be proportional. I will add, since this government have taken office sentencing has been turned upside down. People charged with the most trivial of crimes have been sent to prison for years, while others who have committed extremely violent offences havent even been charged.

But, if you widen your view a bit, you can appreciate that the victim didn't know what was being thrown at them. And if you're a target of extreme lefty haters, like Mr Farage, then the trauma factor could well be higher. So no, in my view it's far more serious than someone saying hurty words on FaceAche.

Well you can extend that to anything, punishing people on the basis that they 'might' have done something is a dangerous road to go down. Although I accept, it's a road Starmer it seems approves of. Throwing milkshake at someone is indeed more serious than calling someone names on Facebook, there's the physical element and as you say the trauma felt by the victim. But lets not lose sight of the fact it was a milkshake, yes it could have been anything but it wasn't, it was a milkshake. I disagree with this woman's actions, she's an idiot but she does not deserve to go to prison. 100 hours unpaid work in the community would be my sentence.

Sentencing should reflect the crime plus 3 months for turning up in court looking like a slag . Not only was it an assault against a candidate it was done for personal gain ,an advert for her only fans page .
18 months for me , one less dog in Clacton wont make a lot of difference but as they say every little helps

The point is her victim Farage did not know what she had thrown at him he was visibly shaken frightened for a few seconds , it is straight forward assault, she also pleaded guilty to Criminal Damage to his suit. When it comes to Assault you do not have to physically hit a person or throw something at them a threat is enough if the victims really does fears for their safety and believes the threat may be carried out The District Judge ( Magistrate) who will pass sentence is Tan Ikram the same Judge who let the three Palestinian Protesters wearing pictures of the attackers who butchered so many Jews on Oct 7th with a slap on the wrists, I will be very surprised if she gets a harsh sentence and flutters her eyelashes and wears a low cut top

You can see by the picture of the incedent that had that been acid or drain cleaner then Nigel Farage would now be minus his left eye...

I agree punish yes jail no,imo the Tory councillors wife is another silly cow saying what she said was the height of stupidity but the jail term was excessive and the labour cut their throats another mammoth **** he’s yet to be sentenced but again jail is ott. It has been announced today that the 61 year old who swore at the police but offered no violence has died in prison. link
