Its not suprising at all that Keir Starmers popularity rating has plummeted, and its also no big suprise that Labours big lead prior to the general election has vanished. The government were not elected to be popular, they were elected on a promise to get growth going again in our economy, fix the NHS and public services and they told the public that it would be tough. There is also a £22 Billion black hole in the budget You cant be popular whilst fixing a mess on the scale that it is, but no doubt the government hope that by fixing things and taking unpopular decisions now, and by putting policies into motion that will bring the desired results in the medium term will pay off come the next general election. EVERY measure that the government will undertake will be criticised by the usual suspects, but those usual suspects do not have an alternative answer, and going backwards to the last 14 years has no answers either. so after saying there is nothing to see here , its only one poll , you have to look for a trend , you are given a trend , you then come back with yet more pish about this isnt surprising. This is surprising , and extremely unusual , for a new government , and new prime minister to be so vastly unpopular after such a short timescale. Its unprecedented.

The government were not elected to be popular, talk about misuse of the word elected. You fell into place off the back of a deeply anti democratic fptp two party system , where 80 % of the electorate , and two thirds of the turnout , didnt vote for you. The tiny minority who did vote for you didnt vote for sleaze corruption incompetence and cronyism either...........

Everyone is sitting back holding their breaths waiting for the disaster that will be the autumn budget announcement .At least liz truss did the honourable thing and stood down when her poll ratings crashed .

I see now reform are showing their supporters around the HOC at 300 quid per head and there is a waiting list for those who want to visit. As tesco states every little helps.. Lol you can have the official tour for £35 , I wonder what 'extras' Reform are offering that sees them have a waiting list for their version of it . Good news though that they are creating a stir ,a stir that will make any forthcoming elections a nightmare for Starmers frauds . He will go down as the party leader that got less votes for labour at every election he was involved in ,Labour voters don't even like him . Which with the tories all over the place has opened a big opportunity for Farage and the gang

Hmmm Ian Grist took us round for nothing, and did it in hope of increasing engagement regardless of whether you voted for him or not. Well that's what he said on the invite. He said he felt as the sitting MP it was important to let interested "about to be voters" get an idea what the place was about How times change I think Reform are accumaliting as much cash as possible to recruit as many councillors as they can before May... Yeah it makes some sense to be getting prepped for that I guess....

Well IS it ? If anything I suppose it will give the others ideas. As I have said, when I was about to get the vote, our sitting MP invited anyone on the electoral register tagged as 16/17 for a visit to the house on him. I went and it was fascinating. He was there in person, but wasn't always, and other MP's did the same thing. Parties were taken round while the house was in recess, by the staff who worked for the sergeant at arms It did make an impression on me, which of course it was supposed to. As I said I've stood where Gladstone insulted Disraeli and I can easily visualise the stench of the open sewer the Thames was etc etc. These things matter if you want to engage an electorate. I suppose in the 70's they did.

And if steamer pays out billions for slavery how well do you think that will go down and do you support that? Big ears is pushing for reparations,if he wants to pay it out of his own pocket and he’s daft enough to that is his problem. There is some sort of insanity at the top in this country, they want us to abase ourselves because of history, try to change that history and apologise endlessly, meanwhile we are being invaded which they are complicit in and expect us to lay down and be trampled on by their madness.
