She's thrown away the 2019 manifesto and has no mandate. But, she knows she's toast if she holds a vote now.

I think that Morgan has hit the nail on the head, everything the Government is doing appears to be wrong at the moment. I mentioned on another thread the dilemma facing Conservative voters, it is a problem. Nigel Farage, who has been right in most of his predictions writes this, www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/10/12/not-tackling-immigration-why-conservatives-will-wiped-next-election/At the last election many voted Tory because the alternative under Jeremy couldn't be contemplated, now people will vote Labour because continuing with the Tories can't be contemplated.

Rubbish, I would have thought it was obvious [to anyone but diehard Labour supporters] that the very last thing we need right now is an election. You cant judge a government after five minutes in office, well Morgan obviously can but we're not all as gifted as him lol. People who are rubbishing this government should have a look what's going on in other countries, currencies are crashing against the US dollar and €urozone interest rates are going up for the same reason they're going up in the UK, to stop inflation getting out of control. At the moment France is crippled with strikes, and in Germany they're lighting up coal fired power stations because they have no electricity. I suppose that's Liz Truss's fault too.

I agree total Rubbish, the left would love an election now because they think they can win an election because of a few polls and with all the chaos that is going on not just in the UK but worldwide that is how desperate they are.
Last thing Labour want is for the Tories to get their act together over the next few months before an election is called in 2024 that is what Labour are worried about

Don't be so sure, there are plenty of economists out there who are quietly saying Truss is on the right track. Obviously it's early days and time will tell. But I think it's a bit premature to write this government off after five minutes in office.

Starmers biggest fear is that over the next 12 months government policies work and the economy starts to bounce back, just in time for a general election.

Truss’ premiership hinges on her getting economic policy right. On the flip side, I can’t blame Labour heckling for an election.

After 12 continuous years of disastrous Tory policies which have got us into the state we are in, I really can't see why anyone would think they would have the answers now. How many more times are people going to vote for them?
The Tories used to have an election slogan "Labour isn't working." Well Tory policies aren't working now.

And what problems do we have at the moment that aren't also problems in other countries?

And what problems do we have at the moment that aren't also problems in other countries? Silly answer. The state of other countries is neither here nor there.
