Starmer refuses to rule out signing away Gibraltar and the FalklandsSir Keir Starmer has refused to rule out ending British control of Gibraltar and the Falklands, amid an ongoing backlash over his Chagos Islands deal. Asked on Friday to guarantee that no other British overseas territory would be signed away by the Government, the Prime Minister avoided the question, telling reporters that securing the use of the military base on Diego Garcia, a part of the Chagos Islands, was his focus. He said: “The single-most important thing was ensuring that we had a secure base, the joint US-UK base; hugely important to the US, hugely important to us.” The Prime Minister’s evasive answer raised fears about not only Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands, which are wanted by Spain and Argentina, respectively, but a series of other dependencies. www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/10/04/starmer-refuses-rule-out-signing-away-gibraltar-falklands/I'm begining to think Starmer is a hostile actor, a trojan horse hell bent on doing as much damage to this country as he can get away with. He must be stopped.

Having a base there was never in doubt, hes saying its an achievement when it isnt. Its the thin edge of the wedge, god knows what else is coming, none of it will be good.
Its like putting the Klingons in charge of the Federation. Britain is finished.

Starmer has absolutely no legal right to sign these islands away, who the fuck does he think he is?
Since when has any decision as major as this been left in the hands of one man and one party, issues like this have to go to the vote, this utter lunatic needs stopping in tracks, he'll be flogging off Buckingham Palace to foreigners next, I hope King Charles has all the sovereign valuable artifacts and paintings nailed to the floor with this lunatic on the loose.

It would be treason to support his government. 80 percent did not support puppet starmer. Not exactly the ringing endorsement which the loony left try to imply.

Not exactly the ringing endorsement which the loony left try to imply. who could possibly have foreseen that such a low turnout , and low percentage of the electorates support , coupled with labours inability to govern , their sleaze , and the ineptitude of the leadership , would have led to such a massive outcry in public anger against the labour government so soon ? if it wasnt all our livelihoods at risk it would be funny watching it all enfold. time to batten down th hatches if you havent done so already , we are in a for a rough ride with these bar stewards.

These figures show the reform uk surge , but are based on gb rather than uk wide , with Northern Ireland not being included at present. When you add in Northern Ireland , labour are on 29% . To put that into perspective , during liz truss disastrous tenure as pm , starmer had labour on something like 52 %. In the space of two years , or just over ,starmer could have effectively halved labours support in the polls.

Labour could lose the next GE whithout losing a single voter. corbyn showed that in reverse , when he took over half a million more voters than starmer , and lost in 2019 , and over three million more in 2017 and lost. It's incredible watching labour plummet to the depths in such a short space of time , and we are barely into their governance. I think labour are going to lose loads of voters from their shallow pool of 20% of the electorate.

Winter fuel payment and freebies row sees support for Keir Starmer and Labour slump EXCLUSIVEAlmost half of voters say their view of the party has worsened since the general election

At the same time, the Prime Minister’s approval rating has plummeted to minus 25 per cent (down from minus 16 last month), while the Conservatives on 25 per cent are just five points behind Labour on 30 per cent in current national voting intention, despite having no leader.
It left the Labour leader facing warnings he could become an electoral “liability” and will boost Tory hopes of a return to government after just one term in the wilderness of Opposition.

Dundee: Labour blame Winter Fuel Payment cut for by-election losses
SCOTTISH Labour have blamed the cut to the Winter Fuel Payment for damaging losses in two by-elections, stressing it was the “biggest factor” in people not voting. The SNP secured two more seats on Dundee City Council on Thursday night as Lee Mills beat Labour’s Marty Smith in the Lochee ward while Jimmy Black saw off Richard McCready in Strathmartine. It meant the SNP held on to majority control of the council. Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar had been hoping to win both contests but, responding to the defeats, the party said the UK Government’s decision to make the Winter Fuel Payment means-tested contributed significantly to the result. www.thenational.scot/news/24629764.dundee-labour-blame-winter-fuel-payment-cut-by-election-losses/

Here's hoping starmer stays the course , and his delusion of invincibility remains intact. He could do serious damage to labour , far more than he currently is achieving .

Wrong - Starmer has every right The Chagos Islands do not legally belong to the United Kingdom, this fact has been ascertained by both the United Nations and The International Court Of Justice. The government is merely abiding by their rulings, but also putting right a shamefull wrong committed by the British government. The government have absolutely no plans what so ever to open negotiations with Spain on the sovereignty of Gibraltar, or to discuss the Falkland Islands with Argentina. The right wing press are ( as usual ) full of shite
