Yes, your shocking behaviour. Of course immigration is a significant problem, not only here but at an international level, and of course things have to change, but that does not justify anybody turning into a toxic anti-immigrant obsessive whose primary response to everything, never mind this desperately sad incident, is “illegal immigrant”. We will never align politically but you seem to be a decent chap with otherwise healthy behavioural parameters, but this extreme anti-immigrant obsession of yours appears to have become all-consuming, very much to your detriment. You need to wise up and read up. Courtesy of the incompetent EU we are being flooded with illegals. Not 'refugees', but illegal immigrants. Britain has the most illegal immigrants in Europe, according to a new study led by experts from Oxford University - linkRelatively few of them have arrived via the EU however. The large majority have arrived legally, with visas thoughtfully provided by HMG, but have somehow forgotten to go home.

I can’t read that because it is behind a paywall but I imagine that it explains that we have created dollops of illegal immigrants by denying so many asylum seekers who wish to claim asylum here onto small boats because we have effectively closed access to legal channel of entry for many of them,, and then declaring all who enter other than through legal channels to be illegal migrants. Brexit-voting BritNats, especially, blaming the EU for everything is akin to the ScotNats up here blaming England and the English for everything, whether it is justified or not (almost invariably the latter). The difference is that they still have a convenient whipping boy to blame. The days of whingeing British nationalists being able to use the EU as a whipping boy for all that ails them are long gone. We left the EU almost 5 years ago to “take back control” so anything you don’t like lies with us.

Many of them are coming via the EU but they are coming from whichever countries they started out from, of course.
i don’t imagine that we have many or any French, Irish, German etc citizens trying to sneak in here by small boat, do you.

India, Pakistan, Nigeria, China, Sudan, Eritrea, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Colombia, Brazil etc etc you name it.
It would be shorter to make a list of where they're not coming from.

Indeed, Vietnamese illegals are also among the top arrivals, but they don't fly into Heathrow. They enter this country in cars, lorries, huge inflatable dinghies, or across the Irish border, and they all arrive in this country from the EU.

You have changed your tune, Red. In your last post you recognised that they were arriving via the EU but you seem to have extinguished that flash of enlightenment and now describe them as coming from the EU.

Yes, that’s right - most of them do (if by EUSSR you were childishly referring to the EU). You should try telling that to your fellow anti-immigrant obsessives out there because most of them bizarrely seem to believe that they come from the EU.

I agree. Childishly using EUSSR rather than the established EU acronym is indeed TOTAL BOLLOCKS - so why do you do it?

I suppose that now you've lost the argument you have to resort to the pedantry and semantics. Absolute vintage Steve. 🤣
