Of all the contributors around the table on last Thursdays QT, it was Reform UK's representative who had the least idea, no answers and only ridiculous solutions to problems. He said ( and I quote ) that "the Royal Navy could take the boats back and place them back onto French beaches" What an idiot, and THATS the Reform UK answer to this problem He said this without any idea of what the French authorities or government would feel about such a plan which would involve British vessels entering French territorial waters, then landing migrants who are neither French or British onto French soil. Boris Johnson tried to stop the boats, as did Rishi Sunak, and if it was as simple as what Reform UK will have you believe, then why did not the Conservative government do it. ? The new government are going to try a different approach, by tying together different agencies, including British Inteligence and Interpol, and track down and stop the human traffikers with a new agency "Border Security Command", which is currently been set up. THe only conclusion that anyone can draw from looking at the whole situation, is that Reform UK have no credible, sensible or legal answers to this problem. You are wrong. If the British government stopped illegals entering UK waters, by force if necessary, international law would be on the governments side. UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) Section 4 Article 33 clearly states: 1. In a zone contiguous to its territorial sea, the coastal State may exercise the control necessary to: (a) Prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws and regulations within its territory or territorial sea. (French ports are safe) There is not one single law national or international, that says illegal immigrants rescued in the English channel must be taken to the UK. If French authorities refused to allow vessels to return rescued illegals at French ports it would be a matter for the French, no doubt the EU, and international courts to sort out. It has nothing to do with the UK. That's the law. |

Bruce has highlighted how dim some lefties are, she has chaired Question Time for a number of years now, she knows like many lefties how many illegal migrants are entering the UK, given that FACT Bruce is a 'British journalist' who fronts BBC 'politics' Question Time, and she DID NOT KNOW, that the UK per capita take in more asylum seekers/migrants than France .... The bigger question to be asked, given her credentials .......... WHY DID SHE NOT KNOW THIS FACT??
Why do many other lefties not know these facts, they should not be in journalism or hosting political programmes if they do not even know basic facts like Yusuf pointed out. ........ fire the silly bias lefty bint.

If you did work for The Express then that might explain your enthusiasm for misrepresenting what people have said to cast them in an unfair and unfavourable light - so what is your excuse for doing this? The Express is misreporting here in much the same way that I describe how you misrepresented the events and the dialogue above (although, in its defence, it does not do so to the same degree or scale as you have done). What I describe above is what happened on the show. Instead of lapping up the skewed misreporting of the notoriously biased Express, why don’t you just view the relevant section of QT on iplayer and review the truth of the matter directly for yourself? |
