The Labour government are now spending £22bn on carbon capture vanity projects. £11.6bn on overseas climate aid. £10bn on public sector pay increases of 15-22%. However, spending £1.6bn on the winter fuel allowance would have caused a run on the Pound........

In a statement, Ms Gray said she was “pleased to have accepted a new role as the Prime Minister’s envoy for the regions and nations” - which includes Yorkshire’s three metro mayors. Sir Keir thanked Ms Gray for “all the support she has given me, both in Opposition and Government, and her work to prepare us for government and get us started on our programme of change. Sue has played a vital role in strengthening our relations with the regions and nations. I am delighted that she will continue to support that work.”

Not only is this good for the environment, and endorsed by around 98% of all climatologists and scientists concerned with climate, but it will also act as a catalyst to spark growth, hopefully better growth than we have seen in the last 14 years. Many public sector workers have seen their living standards fall in the past 14 years, and all NHS workers are paid less today in REAL TERMS than they were 13 years ago, after a succession of both pay freezes followed by pay rises below the rate of inflation. An old saying goes like this "If you want Monkeys, then pay Peanuts", which is precisely why there is a recruitment and retention problem in our NHS, people can get more money in Australia, the United States and in private healthcare, so thats where they are going. Continual strikes, industrial action and staff shortages in both the NHS and on public transport affects our economy, it affects economic growth. Without better growth than we have seen since 2010, there can be no sustainable investment in public services, improvements to living standards or a better future.

What's Angela Rayner's kisser got to do with £20 Billion on carbon capture?
Why is spending £68,000 on Ange trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear going to be good for the environment ?
Have you lost your marbles?

I take it that you are against recruiting NHS staff from third world countries then ? Absolutelly NOT opposed to recruiting skilled medical staff from overseas Without the recruitment of thousands of doctors and nurses by the Blair government from mostly The Commonwealth and Europe, there would not have been the massive improvements to the NHS which happened under the last Labour government. It takes as much as 9 years to train many hospital consultants The very first Health Minister who recruited doctors from the Indian Sub Continent was Enoch Powell, for the same reasons, the country at the time had a shortage of doctors.
