Labour party for the poor ......... LOL Forgot your socks, Tony? Sharp-suited Blair takes his family on Italian yachting break with world's fifth richest man... but it looks as if he didn't have any change left from those £820 loafers!

I have every confidence things will get worse, a lot worse. As I keep saying, I'm convinced history will record Starmer as the worst prime minister in living memory.
Well done the minority who put a hard left socialist autocrat into number 10, I hope you're pleased.

Once Labour MPs up and down the country feel the wrath of people who voted Labour, Starmer is toast.
I have a feeling it wont be the opposition getting rid of Starmer it will be his own party, I can't wait to see Starmer threw to the wolves like Johnson was, Starmer hounded Johnson in to the ground .... his turn now.

Imagine giving the civil service a pay rise whilst robbing little old ladies. Anyone who doesn't detest Labour is a very depraved individual.

I suspect Starmers occupancy of number 10 may well be short lived, but in all honesty would it really make a difference if Starmer was kicked out? Who would replace him, Rayner? lol, out of the frying pan. Starmer has surrounded himself with hard lefties both on his front bench and in the civil service. It's going to be a long five years that's for sure, and for many Labour voters a long and difficult five years. They reap what they sow.

Well at least those too young or forgetful of the last Labour government and why they were out of office for 13 years, will realise why.
I suspect once they are kicked out at the next GE we wont see a Labour government for a good 20 years, people will definitely remember this Labour government for a long long time.

Imagine giving the civil service a pay rise whilst robbing little old ladies. Anyone who doesn't detest Labour is a very depraved individual. No one has robbed little old ladies, and no one is going to rob little old ladies, because the Winter Fuel Allowance is mine, I have involuntarily given it to pensioners as a tax payer ( as have all tax payers ). It is a fact that the demographic group in society with the most disposable income are pensioners, and the demographic group with the least disposable income are young working people with families. I accept that not all pensiners are "comfortable" or "well off", but a high proportion are, and the Winter Fuel Allowance will continue to be paid to the least well off pensioners. As for public sector workers - they have endured over 10 years of pay freezes followed by below inflation pay rises, resulting in disruptive strikes which has damaged our economy, and at the same time pensioners have been automatically given pension rises in line with inflation. The UK finances are in a mess, theres a massive hole in the budget, and something has to give, and literally giving people money to pay their energy bill is a luxury that we cannot aford at this time.

The Home Office keeps importing their revolutionaries and that is run by people who are selected to full time positions. I would argue that Starmer is just a rentboy, so replacing him won't make any difference.

But as I said above, will getting rid of him make much of a difference? I suspect not. It's regime change we need.

It's surprising what the will of the people can achieve, they almost watered the Tories down to nothing, the Tories realised the people had turned on them over Covid, from then on in it was all downhill, and look how they finished up, Labour only won the GE because the Tories no longer functioned.
I know Labour are going to have their Covid moment, and when they do they will suffer the same fate as the Tories at the hands of the people, and it probably started when they picked on the most vulnerable in society ... the pensioners, if he thinks they will go quietly he's in for a big shock.

The problem for any government targeting pensioners is that we have any ageing population and most people eventually get old. And that's potentially a lot of people to be pissing off.

What Labour, and the Tories for that matter are not publicly talking about, is Reform UK. But they will both be very aware that Farage's party, which has five MP's and is just three years old, is now polling as much as 21%, such a rapid rise is unprecedented in British politics. By comparison, after 20 years UKIP were polling 12.7% and were considered to be a success. I think Starmers fortunes may change after the local elections in May when Labour are rejected by pissed off voters who in their millions turn to Reform UK.

Its also a lot of money to give away when the country is in a financial shithole
Instead of complaining about cutting universal benefits, why not suggest how you believe the gap in our finances can be fixed. ?
