There are many pieces of equipment that are needed in any pandemic, this was recognised and stocks were kept that were in the system long before Covid. In February 2019 Johnson was made aware by his own people, that the stocks were out of date and useless, and needed to be replaced. He did nothing, and that led to many unnecessary deaths in 2020. When did Johnson become responsible for stocktaking in the NHS? He was told by part of his health set up that the stocks were out of date and useless, He didn't have to check anything.

That does not mean what you think it means... the value of the emergency stockpile “does not relate to the volume of its contents”,I think you are grasping at straws, it does relate to the ignoring of the need to update the items within.

PPE was unbelievably, woefully short. Especially at first . Had their been enough PPE and the staff were trained to use it properly vulnerable patients in institutions would been protected far more than they were . Outside of that it’s hard to say . Yes it was! My wife and I spent many hours at the hospital making face masks for surgeons, using A4 overhead projector acetates, foam pads, staples and elastic. We made hundreds and they were used. Well done. I'm sure many people are very thankful for what you and your wife did.

I'm not grasping at anything - I'm repeating what your link wrote. You did read your own link didn't you?
