Well, yes, because you need a TV licence to watch any TV. 🙃 That's why it's called TV licence... You must have a TV Licence no matter which TV channels you watch, therefore the TV Licence is a "TV Licence" and not a "BBC Licence". No you don't.

Reds point is that without the BBC there would be no TV Licence - the only point of the TV licence is to fund the BBC. I thought his point quite obvious... Precisely. Thank you.

Wouldn't know, stopped paying mine, heh. I'd like to, I want to, but for some reason I'm far too law abiding. I know, it annoys me sometimes.

I dont pay, i get an occasional letter, which is binned and a bloke knocking thee door, twice so far. I dont let him in. I dont watch the BBC, sport occasionally. Flicking through the channels i watched the sewing bee prime time for a minute. People were rushing to a rack of clothes in a compeetition to fix them
They were commeenting on what they needed to do, im not paying for that. Stop paying for trash, they will try and bully you.

I don't watch live broadcast TV, only subscription stuff and YouTube. So I don't legally require a TV licence and, left to my own devices, I wouldn't even own a TV. Sadly, Mrs TSM does watch TV dross and so I'm stuck paying for the licence.

I occasionally watch an old film on Talking Pictures [Freeview 82] and I will occasionally tune into WildEarth [Freeview 91] to watch a lion or a crocodile chewing on a struggling wildebeest, but generally speaking I rarely watch TV. I have GB News on YouTube most of the time which as you've probably guessed is why I'm so clued up when it comes to politics & current affairs (LOL) or I'm watching some YouTube channel. On the other hand Mrs R watches some very in-depth stuff, things like like Star Trek, Hawaii 5-0, haunted house programs, you get the drift. Yes indeed, she's really into intellectual televisual entertainment. We don't watch BBC but unfortunately we require a BBC tv licence. I suppose someone has to pay for left wing Linekers millionaire lifestyle.
