By reducing the number of overseas students What? The people who pay huge amounts of money to come here and get no UK benefits. Surely he doesn't think that's what people meant when they said they wanted immigration cut. What a bunch of two bit shysters the Tory party have become.

There are always two sides to everything, our youngest granddaughter started Uni a few weeks ago, three Uni's offered her a place she selected one which provided her with live on campus accommodation cheaper than renting a room for the duration. At the last minute the Uni withdrew the offer with no explanation she contacted the other two Uni's who stated sorry all places now gone, she luckily found another Uni that had a place open closer to London, which she is happy with living in a house let out to students but costing more than the accommodation she was originally offered by the Uni of her choice. She finally got a reply from the Uni she had been offered a place and accommodation; the reason was they preferred students from overseas as they are able and willing to pay more

You should have guessed that, once the parliamentary Conservative Party opted to fill its senior ranks with immigrants and the offspring of immigants, reducing immigration at least of non-Europeans was never going to be a priority.

But should not be considered a method of reducing immigration. The people who wanted immigration stopped were not thinking of the Uk offering too many university places. They were thinking of jobs and houses.

I don't mind it not being a priority. I mind them lying all the time.

The irony, Sunak wants to reduce overseas students, who we know have to produce evidence of who they are, where they come from, back ground checks, to clarify their legal status.
The irony he's doing fuck all about those landing on UK shores by the hundreds each week, who have no ID, we don't know where they come from, we have no idea if there are criminals amongst them, so what does Sunak do ... he pays £7 million a day to house them in hotel accommodation.
No one has a problem with overseas students wanting a education in the UK, what we don't want are undesirables entering the UK via a illegal route.

Crossman lied about numbers to take the wind out of Powell's sails. The question is why have they been lying for 60 years.

Crossman lied about numbers to take the wind out of Powell's sails. The question is why have they been lying for 60 years. True enough, though I think many relied on the public being disinterested until Nigel Farage made it a Brexit issue. And those folks are my target. Those who's claims have gone from Brexit will stop immigration, to our government are now free to make the right decisions, to we can vote for a government that will stop immigration. What's the next claim? What government are they going to vote for now they must see that the Tories are liars, using them to win the election and cling to power. Get brexit done.
