The remedial class in full on mode. Can't work out that people born in the UK are not foreigners. But of course they are not racist. No. They just don't think that black British people are as good as white British people. And that's not racist. My only disappointment is that one member of the class isn't here, hopefully they will join soon and then we can close the door behind you. No one has knocked foreigners for their colour andrea FFS. No, you and your buddies knocked British people for their colour. 🙄

It's highly probable that Sunak is entitled to Indian citizenship as a 'Non-resident Indian' on account of his own family background and even more so since his wife is the daughter of a prominent multi-billionaire. He may already have it as far as we know but is keeping quiet for the time being. So he could be both a British citizen and a foreigner at the same time, depending which passport he chooses to use. India does not allow dual citizenship The term is "Overseas Citizen", which gives a person of Indian heritage a permanent Visa to come and go into and out of India, but that person cannot vote and is not a full Indian citizen. Rishi Sunak cannot be both a British citizen AND an Indian citizen. Since 2005 India has allowed the status of 'overseas citizen of India (OCI)' to persons of 'Indian origin' who already hold a foreign citizenship. You are correct it is not quite full citizenship but it does provide important benefits such as being able to own land and make 'other investments in India. He may also be eligible for full citizenship through his spouse, who is an Indian citizen, and we should not discount the influence that his wife's family will be able to bring in support of any application he might make.

Seems strange that this thread quickly turned into a discussion of ethnicity, with little comment on the stupid and insulting and disrespectful decision by Sunak to skip part of the D-Day commemorations for a TV interview. What appears to make it worse is that the TV date had been set some time before, so this wasn't a sudden mistake, but he'd obviously not planned to attend the full session. Why didn't Sunak's advisers or Lord Cameron set him straight — or did he want to be the UK rep with all the other dignitaries...? It was quite apt to discuss the ethnicity of Sunak.

Sunak's tone deafness in this respect cannot be separated from his non-native background.

No one has knocked foreigners for their colour andrea FFS. No, you and your buddies knocked British people for their colour. 🙄 Trouble with lefties like you is that if one ‘knocks’ a coloured person you claim it’s because they are coloured . ‘Racist ‘and ‘far right’ pops up in your heads like a tic.

No, you and your buddies knocked British people for their colour. 🙄 They are not British if they chose to ignore our culture and traditions andrea. It seems as per usual that it is you and your snowflake mates who try to make out its a racial issue..

Notice if we knock Diane Abbott we are racist far-right, but if we knock Rayner we hate to see a working class gal get on.
If dumbo Rayner was black the lefties would be right there playing their racist card like they do with Abbott.
Why can't he lefties accept that if you are dumb fucker, you aren't being judged on your colour or religion, you are being judged because you are a dumb fucker.

Saying Sunak is a foreigner because he is not white is patently racist.

Saying Sunak is a foreigner because he is not white is patently racist. Listen most of us know that when you get a 'foreigner' to do a job for you it has fuck all to do with their colour, calling someone a foreigner has fuck all to do with their colour or being a racist .... stop trying to make something out of nothing ... you're on a non-starter

I've heard speculation that he deliberately chose not to be photographed with European leaders as it was thought this sort of snub would play well with the Tory base. But yes, the mind boggles as to who is advising Sunak.

Sunak's tone deafness in this respect cannot be separated from his non-native background. Did the bombs, bullets and shells separate and discriminate when they were turned on the troops from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, UK, and US troops?
They weren't all pure bred Anglo-Saxon. The Tory team, and predominantly Sunak, were shown to be totally distanced from the feelings of the country to not realise the full significance of the commemorations...
