Semantic? How is Sunak a foreigner if he was born in Southampton? As I said semantics . He is an ethnic Indian with an Indian wife and close ties to India . The Indians seem to think he’s one of them . I’ll repeat this just for you .. Tell that to the Indians Rishi Sunak: India glee over new British PM www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-63370153The elevation of the 42-year-old Indian-origin Tory leader - his parents migrated from East Africa to the UK - as the third British prime minister this year appears to have gladdened the hearts of many Indians. Even the sceptics cannot help but feel a tad triumphant. None of that challenges the fact that he is a British citizen.

And they are still foreigners. And that's a matter of fact hh. Despite your usual leftie trolling and splitting of hairs. British citizens are by definition not foreigners. If you're going to keep arguing that up is down I'll leave it there. Let’s file that one that one and bring it out when you support the argument that a biological male can be defined as a woman 👍

Boris Johnson was born in America, so is he a foreigner? Or is it just Brown people we're calling foreigners? Is he American? If not you have just refuted your own argument . Is he a foreigner in your opinion?

The remedial class in full on mode. Can't work out that people born in the UK are not foreigners.
But of course they are not racist. No.
They just don't think that black British people are as good as white British people. And that's not racist.
My only disappointment is that one member of the class isn't here, hopefully they will join soon and then we can close the door behind you.

To a degree I am going to defend Rishi Sunak here
I do not believe for one moment that his blunder had anything to do with either his Indian heritage or the fact that he is Hindu, and I think its wrong to bring this dimension into the argument.
India, and the Indian people are uncomfortable about the role they played in two world wars, mainly because they find it hard to accept the fact that in both wars, the Indian Army made valuable contributions to the allied war effort - fighting for their Imperial masters.
He did make a mistake, but ethnicity or faith has nothing to do with it.

If Johnson was born in the US and is not a US citizen then it follows that Sunak is not necessarily a UK citizen.
