It has White other British — no mention of Northern Irish or Welsh — so I guess it provides the info Scotland currently needs.
Perhaps the site is for harmonising standards, not tickling the tums of the easily offended...
Which of course was my point in that harmonisation would result in the same information being available irrespective of in which country it was asked. We know how many Scots and Welsh live in England, we have a rough idea of how many English and Welsh as a group live in Scotland and it seems in NI Ireland the question is at best vague. The first line in the English version indicating all home nations ethnic groups seems the logical choice for all countries. Changing it seems more in line with tickling tums of the easily offended as there is no good reason I can think of, can you? It's never worried me — though I'm interested why it worries others.
I'm confident that different organizations generally ask for the info they need, and questions will alter in future if different info is required...

Don't be naive, all that data is sold off to the highest bidder, then you are targeted by the third party fraudsters, how else do you think they get all your 'personal' details from, half the reason people are having their bank accounts cleared out, because our Identities are out there in cyber space, thanks to breaches in Government data, you can't trust any Government to run a bath never mind a national data base.
The poor old vulnerable pensioners are the first ones to be targeted.

He didn't ask if insulting the English worried you, which it obviously doesn't. He asked why was it omitted when it's supposed to be objective? It's a valid question. If you believe the English shouldn't be recognised then just say so.

They won't touch this topic. It contradicts their programmed view of the world. It’s leftie woke Kryptonite ..along with Muslims slaughtering other Muslims and real life . Pretty much. Some are aware and probably supporting it, so you couldn't possibly expect them to allow a subject like that develop. They can't call it a conspiracy theory or namecall, because the information is available, but conveniently ignored. This has resulted in little or no support for the victims from the British government, who are forced to relocate of face they and their families being murdered.

Talking of South Africa another lefties blind spot . “ Mandela's protégé and successor as South Africa's president, Thabo Mbeki, rejected the scientific consensus and espoused the discredited view that HIV does not cause AIDS, popularized by University of California, Berkeley, molecular biologist Peter Duesberg. Mbeki's refusal to bring the resources of the government to bear against the disease is responsible for 300,000 needless deaths, researchers have estimated.” Not a peep out of lefties at the time and hardly a peep since . www.science.org/content/article/world-mourns-mandela-his-role-aids-awareness-recalled

That was asked by SP — I admit I didn't really understand the question, so responded as I did. If you infer from that I "believe the English shouldn't be recognized", that's your problem.
As far as I'm concerned, Scottish questionnaires probably ask for the data they need, which may well be different from that required by British, English, UK, Northern Irish, or Welsh bodies.
I don't see there's any insult, either inadvertent or intended...

A good point... The sad part about all this that people are scratching their heads wondering how these fraudsters know so much about them, the banks don't want to know.
I have never been able to work out how these fraudsters are committing these crimes on a daily basis and the banks can't stop them, not only can't they stop them they can't trace where the fraudsters are operating from and how they are getting the money.
Absolutely nonsense, no way on this Earth can you transfer money from ... A.... to... B..... without a paper/cyber trace ..... IMPOSSIBLE ..... it's a insider job, and every single personal information you give on a Government document makes you more vulnerable to fraudsters ^^

Mrs and I regularly get emails and phone calls that are phishing for info, wanting to instal malware, and otherwise wanting to compromise our computers and/or get our personal details.
We've also had our credit/debit cards cloned.
Such theft happens, and I understand how it can be worrying for people not so familiar with today's technology. Telling them not to respond to texts or emails, or immediately phone their bank or Police doesn't sink in...

I'd allow university graduates — even if they're now parliamentary candidates past their sell-by dates...

The fact that the question seperates Scottish from British implies that Scottish and British are seperate things, when they are not. You clearly support the obvious error which is clearly meant to be used as propaganda, so I can only stick with my inference. If it mentioned the other home nations then it may have made some sense and could have even given a more accurate result.

I am really genuinely sorry to read this, and I know how heartbreaking this can be, and I hope we all come together on this forum regardless of our politics to condemn this despicable crime.
I have personal experience of this type of fraud with my employees, and I am going to tell you ...... this crime destroys lives.
These fraudsters are well ahead of the game, and the only way they could be is by using Government data bases..... no ifs.... no .. buts.
