Labour’s largest union donor Unite refuses to endorse party’s election manifesto
Sir knel-a-lot’s election campaign has suffered a blow after Labour’s largest union donor Unite refused to endorse the party’s manifesto.
The decision by the union was such a shock it even caught some shadow cabinet members by surprise.
Party figures had described a crunch meeting on Friday, in which shadow ministers, union representatives, MPs and Labour members gathered to set the final manifesto, as "positive".

Labour were described last night in the debate as conservatives, it was used as an insult, funny how Labour are now less socialist, and the tories more, central government, the puppet masters have spoken, those that govern without being known.

Well, what a suprise ( NOT )
So the far Left, militant union UNITE will not back a Labour manifesto because it wont commit to huge spending plans that the country cannot aford, and probably because the manifesto wont go as far as pushing employment law to the point where it damages business.
Whilst the Labour Party should always listen to the unions, the union leaders are elected to look after their members, and we, the electorate, elect the government to run the country.
Its no big deal, it was to be expected from UNITE, everyone else represented at the presentation endorsed the manifesto and we, the public, will find out its contents this next week.

UNITE isn’t anymore militant than other unions ffs.
This is what it boils down to ..UNITE refuses to back Starmer and a leftie pops up and slags the union off.
As an ex union rep( UNISON iirc) Rayner will not be pleased .
All is not lost though I suggest that Labour organises a countrywide tin rattle around the mosques …Euros accepted but no Rupees.

The Unions own the Labour Party as they fund the Labour Party, if the Labour Party does not do as they tell them they will withdraw their funding.
The majority of workers are not members of any Union, the bad old days of the closed shop are gone thankfully
