It seems to be that Farage's comments are considered more heinous than the atrocious scenes witnessed in Leeds. It's clear that in the ghetto of Harehill, the only integration that has taken place and binded the different ethnic communities together is their distrust of British authorities and institutions. That should be the talking point. But no, let's attack Farage who's sentiment still stands, though wasn't quite broad enough to encapsulate the Roma community. Lee Anderson's comments were more accurate: "import a third world culture, then you import third world behaviour". And for this we have our politicians and the Left wing community to thank for the cesspit the UK has become, because ever more "multiculturalism" is their utopia they wanted to burden British communities with. No responsible politician makes comments that stirs up problems in a community. It is right to criticise Farage, he should be the one to begin an intelligent talking point. No one deliberately imports 'third world culture' to the excess caused by asylum seekers. Your last comment is nothing more than your frustration at the absence of an answer to the asylum problem. I note that neither yourself or Farage have been able to show a legal answer to this problem. Just criticising it and blaming politicians and the Left-Wing community is typical useless Rightist rhetoric. Showing that you are as equally lost as Farage is. The problem was stirred up before Farage made the comment. That's the real issue here. And the issue isn't just about asylum seekers, it's about the level of mass immigration this nation has had over the last two decades or so, changing the very fabric of British society. And it isn't "rightist rhetoric". For years people were called xenophobic, racist, and bigots for the concerns they had with the level of mass immigration into the UK. They were essentially shut down by the Left wing community for raising concerns. It is also taken, that it is the Left wing community who enjoy the ideology of "multiculturalism" and have applauded this demographic change. They quite literally enabled and coaxed it on trying to be all hip and progressive. It's reach the point now that the concern for immigration in Britain is practically a lost cause. And it has become far worse for it, turning many towns and cities into tribal - crime ridden cesspits.

The evidence would indicate that the importation of third world cultures is indeed a deliberate act. Multiculturalism expects just that, multiculturalism was never presented as a policy at any time for democratic approval but was adopted in any case and was often referred to as an end result post 2000. Legal answers keep being presented and are available to government, the fact they do not want to use them indicates that the current immigration both legal and illegal is acceptable to government. The rioters in Leeds say they have been 'persecuted' by the police which indicates that they do not wish to live under UK law and find the application of that law to them is unacceptable.

Of course Romania isn't the third world, but then 30p Lee was always a bit thick. It's a figure of speech. I take it "figure of speech" is a euphemism for factually wrong. Romania was always second world, and was never in the subcontinent, so are there any wise words actually going to come from the Reform MPs? If they want to be a credible opposition in parliament they're going to have to learn to be more factually accurate.

The flashpoint may have been Roma but the rioting could not occur with just a few dozen Roma people it included hundreds of Asians and politics in the Sub-Continent is often expressed by way of rioting. As an aside you have to remember that when a Roma family arrive here and bring their children, those children have the same rights of protection under the law as any other UK child and it is not persecution to apply those laws, nor is it wrong and it is what the bulk of the citizens of the UK would expect. Their cultural proclivities are irrelevant in law.

When one speaks figuratively it doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be factual/literal. We have the dregs of Romania thanks to EU freedom of movement. It's as simple as that. My spidey senses are telling me somebody's trying to dance on the head of a needle.

They just don't know it yet.

Asylum seekers has exacerbated a lesser problem into a massive Problem. Thatcher destroyed thousands of businesses as those out of work approached 4 million. Many skilled, semi skilled, professionally trained and others found other ways of earning a living and never returned to their earlier positions. One of the changes you may recall were referred to as 'Mac Jobs'. I left engineering and retrained into a professional therapy. She also battered the NHS and Education causing many more cuts in employment. In addition to which the old apprenticeship system was crippled by the introduction of 'Self Employed'. This created a need for such people to be replaced thus we welcomed migration, even the Tory opposition welcomed it around 2004. There are many people from all sections of society who welcomed multiculturalism as a normal progression, especially in a country that has had such a wide spread Empire in the past. The extremism of a minority to push for multiculturalism is just the loud mothed mouthing off, they had no control over the levels of migration into this country. They just gave many an opportunity to blame others rather than a Tory government. "turning many towns and cities into tribal - crime ridden cesspits." This has happened because of the huge problems caused by asylum seekers, that is when it went OTT. A Problem, as far as I'm aware, that no Western government has found an answer to. Blaming everything on the "Left" is just your particular bias in action.

You are totally blind to your own hypocrisy, aren't you. All The Best Nope, just being realistic, and looking at the facts. You should try it some time. Its clear that logic and any resemblance to objectivity left you some time ago. Unfortunately for your narrative the economy started to go tits up when the UK became a service based economy. Blair endorsed this. It went tits up (and Major has blame here too, as do the Cons in general) when blue collar workers left the pits and industries as jobless. Blair bragged how the UK would become a 'knowledge economy' and indulged and encouraged a service based economy. Yet, this shift towards a service based model NEVER replaced the broad based employment of the industrial sector. Blair was only too happy to forget while wearing his blue rosette. The GFC exposed the underlying weakness in the UK economy that Blair had championed for, as there was nothing for the economy to fall back on and prop it up. Blair had ensured all eggs were laid in the financial services basket. And productivity since then has never recovered. Now, due to decades of declinism in the NHS and need of reformation in its case, an aging infrastructure and one of the most important issues of today - the lack of housing for people in Britain, immigration which is rightly pointed by the so-called "far right" adds an unwanted burden and stress to these key issues. Farage has rightly been pointing this out for fucking years. Yet, people like yo try and ignore the obvious. Now, you can try and blame Major, Thatcher or Cameron for this, but the blame encapsulates ALL policies from Britain's past including your deity, Tony Blair. Lack of housing is one of THE main issues today, and rising immigration adds to the issue of 'not enough homes'. Blair also opened the door to mass immigration back in the early 2000's. So he certainly has a guilty hand in the clusterfuck that is today's Britain.

Is anyone keeping score of the number of C2 pathetically stupid posts blaming Mrs T for every issue under the sun from burning the toast , why the blackberries are early this year, to the weather and foreigners coming to the UK ? She'll probably also get the blame from him for any Olympic medals not gained/lost by GB in Paris He even seems to think that no-one ever worked for themselves until Mrs T became PM !!
