Not only is Farage wrong, but he is now an embaressment to the UK, drawing attention from mainstream Ukrainian media, in a country where people genuinely thought Britain was a good friend thanks to Boris Johnson and others, many Ukrainians dont understand. Pointing out a fact does not mean that one is necessarily in agreement.

At no point ever, was there any ethnic cleansing of either Ukrainians of Russian background ( ethnic Russians ), or of Russian speakers in Ukraine. You cannot produce any evidence or links, because there isn't any, because it never happened. There is little doubt that there are Nazis and white supremacists amongst the Ukranians and they are pretty dominant in the forces. It seems that Nazis and white supremacists will be supported if it suits at all other times anyone even being seen speaking to a Nazi or a racist will be cancelled as far as humanly possible. There is hypocrisy in them thar hills. |

The EU has already demonstrated its provocative arrogance with borders both in the West (Northern Ireland) and the East (Ukraine) in Europe. It has been expanding eastwards since the fall of the Berlin Wall. The EU has put itself within spitting distance of Russia and must apportion some part of the responsibility and meddling it has done whilst constructing its regulatory empire. It didn't give a fuck about Russian sensibilities in Ukraine, like it didn't give a fuck about Unionist sensibilities in Northern Ireland. With that arrogance comes responsibility on the geopolitical stage. Why? Has the EU illegally annexed a part of another sovereign state, not once, but twice? Or was that Putin? All The Best |

Mexico has every right to join a military alliance with China, Russia and North Korea. It’s a sovereign country right? Guess what the US would do if they tried it ? That the US would be morally and legally wrong to do so does NOT make Putin right to do so. That is the akin to saying " Some other fellow committed rape, that must mean it is OK for me to commit rape too". All The Best |

Most posters on here do not understand the culture of the opposition to Soviet history and Russian domination in places such as Georgia, Ukraine or Moldova, or the culture of the resistance movement in Belarus. For them, the Council of Europe Flag ( otherwise known as the flag of the EU ) is a potent symbol of not only resistance, but also of a desire for freedom from Russian influence and control. Nigel Farage and anyone who supports his Quisling-like opinions which vilify the West, NATO and the European Union are no friends or supporters of freedom, the rule of law, democracy or the principle of self determination.
You do come out with an immense load of old twaddle. Farages view is shared by Joe Biden, the NATO chief and the Pope - For years now (over decades) various politicians and officials have assured Russia that there would be no eastward expansion of NATO - it's hardly surprising that Russia felt provoked when that turned out to be untrue. |

Blaming the EU and NATO for Russias war against Ukraine is a big mistake for Farage, and it will cost Reform votes. There are a lot of Tory voters who will now think twice about voting for Reform, he has shot himself in the foot, there is no question about that.
Ukraine never ever posed any threat what so ever to Russia, and the fact that most Ukrainians see their future with Europe and the West, not with Russia, is not a reason or an excuse for Russia to invade Ukraine.
There is no defence for what Farage said, and I reckon that those here on these boards who attempt to defend Farage know it
