Oh well that's that then ...... Farage knows nothing about the drug fraternity so he wont make a good leader....... Well that's strange isn't it, because anyone who knows Farage knows the pub plays a central role in his profession. What if he said to the publican during his campaigning that Reform were offering his profession life sentences. After all there is strong evidence that alcohol has long term damaging effects, especially to the liver. I think you'd be best placed asking Angela Rayner that question ... after all she's never out the boozer.

They rely on domestic legislation not membership of an external organisation - there is no reason why the UK would be any different. The ECHR came into being in 1953 - the first UK Legislation guaranteeing workers rights was introduced in 1833. Really? In 14 years of Government the Tories have: All but made it illegal to go on strike, by enacting laws that, if they were applied to elections, would mean the Tories would never have been elected Made collective bargaining harder by giving employers the right to "not recognise a trade union" Made it harder for wrongfully dismissed employees to access Lega Aid, meaning less employers are held accountable for wrongful dismissal They have also repeatedly expressed the view that Worker's Rights need reducing. Farage is even more Right-Wing than the extreme Right-Wing of the Tories; if he gets into power there will be a full scale bonfire of Worker's Rights. Both the Right of the Tory Party and Farage want "less red tape" on Businesses - this will certainly include Worker's Rights - so they can engage in a race to the bottom for employment legislation. All The Best You seriously believe your own BS that strikes are all but illegal? Absolute rubbish - Here's a calendar link to UK strikes past , present and future. All listed with relevant union demands on virtually every day, some even double up . www.strikecalendar.co.uk/

After all there is strong evidence that alcohol has long term damaging effects, especially to the liver. I think you'd be best placed asking Angela Rayner that question ... after all she's never out the boozer. Seems the Ginger Growler and Abacus Abbott have a similar grasp of maths ( Tho ginge probably skipped maths class to go behind the bike sheds) She believes Labour's plan to sort out the NHS will cost nothing whereas IFS calculates it will cost £50 billion a year Angela Rayner has claimed Labour delivering the NHS workforce plan will not cost anything, despite warnings of a £50 billion annual price tag. The deputy opposition leader defended her party’s manifesto commitment to push ahead with the 15-year blueprint unveiled by the Government last year. It comes after the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), an influential think tank, said the workforce plan will raise health service spending by around 2 per cent of GDP – equivalent to an extra £50 billion a year. When Labour published its manifesto last week, the IFS said it provided “no detail” about NHS funding in the next Parliament, “beyond some small amounts” set aside for hospital equipment. The Labour manifesto states: “We will deliver the NHS long-term workforce plan to train the staff we need to get patients seen on time.” When asked on Friday morning how much it would cost to implement, Ms Rayner said there would be a focus on reform and spending money more efficiently. Asked if delivering the plan would be cost-neutral, Ms Rayner told the BBC Radio 4 Today programme: “With our proposals to bring down the waiting lists with 40,000 more appointments, by ending the non-dom status…“I actually think by having that workforce plan – and I have worked in the social care sector before, and I represented Unison members who worked in our NHS for years as their convenor as well – I actually think we could save money if we can do those reforms. www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/06/21/angela-rayner-says-nhs-wont-cost-anything-despite-50bn-ifs/

The problem is on the one hand polls say overwhelmingly that the country believes in Farage agaisnt anyone else. He is the top favourite as a person. It's a rerun of the Johnson scenario. It works great until you actually get these people to make real decisions of great importance which affects the country. Any loose reasoning will show up as some sort of disaster. This is the time when the public gets in touch with reality. Starmer is still stumped on two simple questions
1. Define a woman... he say 99% of woman haven't got a penis ..... LOL
2. Did you say in 2019 Corbyn would make a good Prime Minister?
So if Starmer can't answer two simple questions, it puts Farage in a good place.
The electorate were very let down in the run up to 2019. If it were not for Labour wanting to rejoin the EU I would say Corbyn would have done a better job than Johnson, although I recognise that would be taking a similar big gamble. Where with Corbyn you may well have got a bit of honesty, you would have to pay for that with what might have been disastrous economic decisions. It felt like an electoral ambush where you vote Johnson or else.
With Starmer I really have no idea what he will end up doing, but my gut feeling is he will do what he is told by them upstairs, whoever they are. He will take orders from the US, he will pass huge bills developed by the civil service where there is zero accountability and the agenda stretching across countless PMs will continue unhindered. I expect to see developments in early education to make sure the brainwashing is deeper than ever. Lawyers can be right fascists and have very limited understanding of economics. Then again he might think he knows nothing and delegate to someone who does know what to do. The best thing he can employ his skills in is clearing up the corruption. The risk there though is if you clamp down too much then you might see a lot of the ethics up in the courts. That's my hunch. Talk tough, but wimp out when someone tells him.

This is the time when the public gets in touch with reality. I never thought that Boris was PM stuff but hoped that he would get a team around him who knew their stuff. It seems he did not. Farage is a different kettle of fish. He talks the talk with detail and is seemingly prepared to take the necessary action that everyone knows needs to be taken to turn the decline around. The rest of the parties seem to be relying on flim-flam. Boris was a bit like Blair tried to be PM without taking the helm .

I have NEVER, not even for a second, supported Freedom Of Movement. All The Best

Nigel Farage says that the EU + NATO are to blame for Putins war against Ukraine
This surely is proof beyond any doubt that not only is Farage Delusional, but that he has absolutely no grasp of the real world.
The point been is that MOST PEOPLE in Ukraine do not want to be part of a Russian sphere of interest, and most people instead want to be part of Europe, and not part of Putins empire.
It ought to be the democratic and free right of the people of Ukraine to choose their future, but Farage does not agree.
Nigel Farage has made a huge mistake by going along this path, he is wrong, he is 100% wrong, and most people in Ukraine will hate him for his ridiculous views.

He’s not the only person to claim that iirc Noam Chomsky and Peter Hitchens say the same . What he doesn’t say is that we should let Russia overrun Ukraine .

And, in the unlikely event that you are correct, Ukraine is still not our problem. We are not the world's policeman and nor should we try to be.

Then let no one blame the opposition government for the problems on leaving, blame the divided nation. Even Farage said he would not accept such a narrow loss if Brexit had failed. And? - you think he would be more effective at getting a second run at a referendum than the Tory wets, the LibDems or Keir Starmer? That's for you to ponder.

I would prefer not to drink with a liar, I would find such a person to be an embarrassment to try to hold a conversation with. A good job your friends don't feel the same, eh? Or you'd be billy-no-mates. All The Best You posted: -- "So you never once blamed Thatcher or previous Tory governments for things Blair and Brown got wrong? Oh, wait, yes you did, almost weekly."'Almost weekly' in which case you do not have to reference another Forum, with so many examples all you have to do is to post a nice big juicy one. You apparently have plenty to pick from. If you don't Post one then the people who read this thread will know you posted a lie. And you will be Billy-no-mates

Nor should we ignore the ever expanding threat from Putin's need to expand his version of the Russian Empire. Or his intended domination or encouragement into extremism of the countries around him.
