In the same way half the Members here use "lefty" you mean? Funny how you care about when it is about the other end of the political spectrum, eh? Double-standards much? All The Best Yes that is right but at least I would define what a 'leftie' is. I know what Socialism is what it does and how it works, if I call a leftie a leftie I know exactly what I mean and would guess that many other people do as well. It contains good and bad and honest people and scoundrels it is a definition of people who believe broadly that society should work for all. It is getting that to happen is where the problems occur and the denigration aspect is where 'lefties' progress their views irrespective of the wishes of others and seek 'equality and equity' for all which obviously means taking things off others. So far we have Right Wing, far/hard right wing etc and we have no clear idea of what you mean and how you define it Well, that's OK, because - to use your words - "many other people do". So I am guessing either you do and are just pretending you don't; or you actually don't want to. Please Note: I ONLY asked Squeezed-Middle to define "objectively right wing" AFTER he accused me of using the term first and demanded I define it, when it was actually he that used it first and so should provide the definition. All The Best

All The Best You are dodging and playing word games. Many other people do, of course they do, but in terms of RW and far RW no one is actually able to come to any basic definition yet everyone throws the terms around. You use the term a lot and have just described EDL as Far Right on another thread but what is that makes them far right?

But if you now what Left Wing is (and you have said you do) then you are 99% of the way there in knowing what Right Wing is - it is, unsurprisingly, the antithesis of the Left Wing. What makes an ideology either Far Right or Far Left - to me that is a willingness to use illegal means (intimidation, violence, etc) in an attempt to force people to bow to your political views. Note: The State too uses violence and intimidation, hidden behind the mask of legislation: that is fundamentally what the Tories' attack on the right to strike, and the right to peaceful protest is. However, I suggest that this what is left, what is right, is more suited to its own thread than as part of the current thread. All The Best

All The Best So so far you are saying RW is not LW and because I know what LW is I should know what RW is. I would expand that I believe I do know what RW is but RW is the term you use and the question was what do you understand RW to be. I see you now say far left or far right is using illegal means to further one's point of view. Far left have often used legal means to further their agenda as what is legal and illegal is a very tenuous interaction between law, consensus and morality.

I also routinely use the term "left wing" - and, for the record, have been equally critical of both. How come a) everyone else is not being asked to define what they mean by "right wing", and b) I am not being asked to define what I mean by "left wing"? What is it about the "right wing" that is so snow-flakey it needs this level of protection from scrutiny? All The Best

There is no statement of fact it arrives with a metaphorical sneer. Just wondering why that should be so.

Rohm and the Black Shirts were killing Communists and others who were against the Far-Rightists rise to power, in open battles on the streets before Hitler gained power. He was a natural supporter of the Rights rise to power. Communists have been known to kill other communists. Excuse seeking / making or deviation is the level of posts I expect from those already sold to fixed opinions.

All The Best As I have pointed out that may be true but there is no problem in defining what that is as I have done. For some reason you use RW but cannot even give us a clue in what way something is RW. It is not snow flakey protection it is trying to understand what you actually mean. Why do you find that so difficult to answer

You really need to stop it. Bye.
