There is a faction of the Left livid with Starmer about the apparent way he has treated the longest serving black MP.
This will help Starmer's campaign though, keeping the gaff prone, race baiting woman away from the coal face of it all.

This would have been an ideal time for Diane Abbott to retire and for a replacement to be eased into place.
But it seems that mishandling by Labour HQ has turned this into a main news item, which has swamped Labour's announcement of its plans and commitments and timescale for improving the NHS.

Funny how racism works. The anti racists, Labour are white, while the supposed racists, the tories most of them are black. Sunak is boss to get a black vote, Labour are white because at heart, they are racist, by there own measures, that of counting faces.

I am confused by Labour here, it is another neither on thing nor the other decision from Labour.
They have restored the Party Whip - saying she is not subject to further disciplinary action.
But she is not allowed to stand - signifying the PLP thinks there is something shady going on somewhere.
So which is it?
Seems to me Starmer is doing his usual thing, talking out of both sides of his mealy-mouth to try and keep everyone on side, but not having the moral spine to come down on one side or the other.
Another no principle decision from the man with fewer principles than anyone in politics today.
