Absolute bloody rubbish, Christ almighty what is it with you lefties. The reason we have a housing crisis in this country is because we allow too many people in. Net migration is running at 670,000 a year and the population has increased by 7 million over the past 20 years which is why people cant get GP appointments, dentist appointments, hospital appointments, school & nursery places etc etc, the reason social infrastructure is crumbling is not because there are too few houses, it's because there are too many people in this country. England has been the most densely populated country in Europe since 2007. You cant pour a quart into a pint pot, we are full. So if people cannot get GP appointments because of immigration / immigrants, explain why getting a GP appointment was easy in 2009, FIVE YEARS after the influx of Eastern European workers caused by the accession of the A8 countries to the EU, and Free Movement. Yet as soon as the Tories came to power, both GP appointment waiting times began rising, the NHS began deteriorating, and waiting lists started rising. The European migrant workers always go where the jobs are, hence Peterborough, Boston and the Fens where unemployment had been almost non-existent, and where work was available. I am not an economist, but I do know that if there are no people to do the jobs, it causes either low growth or stagnating growth. If businesses attract workers, YOU PLAN, you build homes to match the growing number of workers who come to fill the jobs, and the local economy grows, which contributes to National Growth. Your conclusions are as farcical as Nigel Farages The European migrant workers came here to work, they are mostly young people, fit and healthy, they dont need hip replacements or replacement knee joints. Last time I was in my local A&E the only foreign people I saw were doctors and nurses, the place was packed with entirely white British people, people in wheelchairs, old ladies in nighties, young mothers holding babies, drunks and accident victims, all waiting hours and hours to be seen. Unless you are an absolute imbecile and to be honest I wouldn't have thought so, I'm struggling to understand the rationale of someone who, given the population explosion in this country over the past 20 years, fails to see that 670,000 people entering this tiny country every year is not sustainable. And it is without a doubt the fault of this and previous governments, but you're looking at a massive problem from the wrong end. Rather than complaining about too few houses, you should be complaining about too many people because believe me, as the population increases the quality of life will decrease. It's already happening. |

The biggest contributing factor of all when it comes to the housing crisis is the fact that BOTH "New Labour" and the Conservatives have not built anywhere near enough social housing to rent. Yes - and at the same time they massively increased immigration - without that immigration there would have been no housing shortage. 80% of our population growth is due to immigration. Secondly, Poland was offering bribes and better conditions to their skilled FOM people who were working in the UK. Which never happened - throughout our entire membership of the EU migrants from the EU outnumbered those who returned year on year. I havent read all the posts, but im sure vast numbers of immigrants have a telling impact on elections, and it will be left. The left is EU, etc, Labour, and now the Tories, all hell bent on destroying any sense of britishness. Do you have a problem with housing and doctor's appointments in your area. I live in an area of Scotland with very little immigration and no problems with housing or doctor's appointments (usually same day) or dentists. 25 miles up the road it is a different story. It is not a falsehood to say immigration places a strain on all services. It is a logical assumption grounded in the reality of what is happening on average throughout the country. In England ( all of England ) the length of time it takes to get a GP appointment lengthened after the Conservatives came to power in 2010, and as with waiting lists, got worse. Nothing what so ever to to with immigrants - there was no problem before 2011 In England there has been a problem for many years to my recollection and the experiences of family. The problems started accruing after 2005. The well to do classes in London could then suddenly get plumbers and nannies whilst the tradesmen and workers in the UK found they were being edged out and their wages were falling |

It is not speculation, its from taking notice of what SOME migrants were saying at the time, and upon what the Polish government actually did. Since the referendum there has been an even greater number of Poles returning to Poland from the UK.
