Plenty of over 21s don’t work either. I doubt we would even be discussing it if 16 year olds were overwhelmingly right wing.

16 is about the age where you become aware of politics . M the kids would have been subject to the cult of wokeism for a while and be without enough life experience to realise how toxic and false it is . The Nazis knew this. So did the church. You say 16 is the age when kids become aware of politcs Bentley, but is it? I wasn't aware of politics at 16, I thought I was, but I was actually clueless. Of course I didn't realise this until I was older. And as a father of four I can confirm my kids were not aware of politics at 16 either. Sadly, and god knows how and it is with a heavy heart I confess, my elder daughter who is 38, is a pro EU woke Labour voter. I'm so ashamed (lol) On the other hand my elder son age 36, is the complete opposite, he's a chip off the old block, bless him. You were ‘ aware ‘ of politics. Later in life you realised that your political view at 16 was immature. Which is what I said .👍

Whereas lefties want immature kids to vote because they will be more likely to vote for them . Would it not be better to only allow people who are capable of a balanced view ( as far as we can) to vote ?

Christ the average 16 year old doesn't know who the prime minister is.

I think a more pertinent way of wording it is, the only reason Labour want children to vote is because politically clueless children are easilly manipulated and are likely to vote Labour.

I could say the same about people who continue to vote conservative after all they’ve done just change young to old

They know about what political issues are discussed in the media . They know that there are human rights issues .

Some kids may be aware of politics, have no understanding of, but they may be aware of politics. Many kids are more interested in important issues, Play station & X Box spring to mind. Human rights issues, yes indeed the little dears are indoctrinated with all that stuff by left wing teachers who will be thrilled at the thought of ballot boxes in schools.
