That is probably true however many people are becoming disillusioned with polls, which probably stems from the EU referendum in the main. It was a fairly simple yes/no type question with little variation yet they managed to get that result arse about tit. There is also a certain lack of trust in that do some polls try to influence how people vote by weighting results in a biased fashion. Not a thing easily to prove but trust in the powers that be has taken a nose dive in the last couple of decades and realistically with good reason. The EU polls weren't that far out. Its just that it was such an important question that people remember. Mostly they got it wrong because of assumption on voting numbers. Remainers were overconfident and too many didn't vote. I don't imagine that happening this time, do you? They were well out for a simple yes/no question, general elections are much more nuanced and polls are harder to weight for a variety of reasons including, but by no means limited to, personalities in each constituency. The EU polls were in the main 4% points out which means that they gave the result with an approx 8% level of inaccuracy, not very impressive. Most elections many people do not vote and once they see the result they cry foul. The turnout was 72% which means in order for the result to change that turnout would have to be over 80% and all of the extra number voting Remain. That is a rarity even in general elections.

The centre Left have failed on immigration, as has the centre Right From Germanys Centre Right CDU to France's Centrist government, from Social Democratic governments to Conservative governments, none of them seem to have the answer. What about our government of the last 14 years ? ... how Left wing do you think they have been, and what's their record on immigration. ? Its simply Bull Shit to ascribe the immigration problems to "The Left" Posters have suggested here that as some EU nations turn to the Far Right, its the end of the European Union, how dishonest, and how far removed from reality. Why is it that any political party who makes gains over a lefty one is branded ... far-right?
Any alternative to a left party is instantly labeled far-right
They've got away with it for years especially branding Farage Far Right racist every time he opened his mouth.
Now the millions who called him that because they followed like sheep ......baa baa baa baa .. are now saying we agree with Farage on immigration and we aren't far right racists, some of the biggest whingers and whingers about illegal migrant accommodation being set up in their area is coming from the .... Lefty Liberals ... lol
The CDU of Germany is not far right, it is Centre Right, and Angela Merkel would be closer politicaly to Keir Starmer than to Nigel Farage. The UK Conservative Party is also Centre Right, however the National Rally (National Front) of France is Far Right, as is Reform UK. I know the difference between traditional Centre Right (Conservative) political parties and the far Right, but it seems you confuse the two.

THe ONLY reason why SOME European states are turning to the nasty far Right is Immigration, and no other reason. We are living through a period of history where War, Economic Turmoil, Famine, Climate Change and other factors are driving people to move. Whether it be France, Sweden, Italy or Germany, its the one issue which unites these voters - immigration. It has little to do with "Woke" or "Liberal lefties" or even "Euroscepticism". The far Right in Germany has no policy or suggestion of withdrwal from the EU, neither does Marine Le Pen's party in France or the Conservative Reformists of Sweden. Yep, and so what?
Immigration and the resultant social issues are a big issue for those affected by them.
Probably the biggest issue.

I know the difference between traditional Centre Right (Conservative) political parties and the far Right, but it seems you confuse the two. You clearly don't and seem to believe that telling lies makes it true. Reform is simply where the Conservatives should have been if the Tories didn't decide to compete with Labour instead of opposing them. Reform is only saying what the Tories promised the people when they won a majority in the last election.
Labour won't win the election, the Tories will simply lose it to keep the charade going.
This is why Reform is being attacked by the establishment, which is full of establishment liars, actors and far-left extremists who justify and celebrate terrorist attacks.

Because Labour divide people into groups and then offer support for those groups in exchange for support/votes. Of course, they can't support them all all of the time, which is why they shit on the working classes, Jewish folk and women to win over other groups whilst hoping the older groups are dumb enough to still vote for them.
Labour do not see us as people.
I guess Right-wing Tories and Reform find it a useful grenade to lob into their campaigning to distract attention away from the years of drag-anchor government, which makes it appear that they’re the political faction that doesn’t give a stuff about individuals, but just regards them as voting fodder… Right wing? The government has been as limp and as centrist as it possibly could. Even when Covid happened, and all around the world sensible governments were curbing immigration, ours had the border wide open and infected people coming through all because they feared being accused of being right wing, or racist.

So when Margaret Thatcher massively increased borrowing in the early 1980s in the face of a recession, she was not been truly Conservative ?, this seems to be what you are inferring, no borrowing when the nation has to. The Conservative Party has never been anything like Reform UK, and many great Conservative statesmen would be appaled at Reform UK, people like Harold MacMillan and Edward Heath, as are many Conservatives today. Most Conservatives would never contemplate withdrawing from the ECHR, or playing with Xenophobia. Reform UK are a milder form of the British National Party, NOT Conservatives.
