Million dollar question is what is Nigel going to do, if he sits it out I anticipate Reform falling by the wayside and a stronger Tory vote, possibly even a hung Parliament, with the Greens, Libdems and the SNP vying to be king makers. If Nigel gets on board and sits for Reform together with a couple of high profile Tory defections to Reform it might get interesting. Starmer really is coming across at a dumb stooge and his gang of leftie harpies are not helping.

The polls would suggest its going to be a coronation rather than a game I wouldn't bet on it. I know what the polls say, but the polls have been wrong before and they'll be wrong again. And besides, the gap between parties always closes as the election gets closer.

Oh my
Charlie Lug Nuts is going to have to scorn the Scots and return from his Holyrood Garden Party early to preside at Captain Fence Sitter's coronation

But I can see why Sunak called it. The economy is OK, interest rates, inflation, unemployment, all looking good and predicted to improve. I think in calling the election sooner rather than later, cross channel illegals may have been a factor. If it's a long summer the crossings are bound to increase which wouldn't look good in the run up to an autumn election.

Just watching Rishi and now I know what a wet really looks like Sounded to me like even he didn't believe what he was saying. The body language, the rain and the Labour election anthem clearly audible in the background, a terrible, terrible start.

Starmer has just made his election speech “That’s the way to do it”

Might as well get it out of the way as the result is in no doubt.
There is no good news coming and the debt is starting to soar so the Tories may as well go now and leave Labour to carry the can.
